so armand is like a reader fifty shades of grey, in that he wants to submit absolutely to a higher authority that is hot and fucks you and solves all your problems and absolving you of the guilt that comes with being a person, while seeing that authority as not actually a person but instead a fantasy object that he should be able to control to dominate him in a way that he desires. there's this objectification and wish-fulfillment going on, and i don't even think he realizes it.
