To everyone I see complaining about #PepsiHalftime #HalftimeShow2020 ::
1) The Outfits: No, they’re not raunchy and too revealing. They were doing a lot of dancing, which if you’ve ever seen Dancing with the Stars or anything to that affect, it’s nothing out of the ordinary. It’s a fast paced activity where you don’t want garments getting in the way. Look at dancers, twirlers, cheerleaders, gymnasts. There’s a reason their clothes are small to begin with (before making fancy cuts to make it stylish).
2) The Dancing: Believe it or not, yes! Both Shakira and JLo are dancers. It’s what they do if not also how they began. Please don’t judge the dancing. Dance styles change by the decade. We brought it on ourselves. Don’t be angry at what you’re seeing.
3) The Pole: C’mon. JLo was just in Hustlers...you honestly think she wasn’t about to work that pole like the beast she is!? That takes talent and strength. Kudos to her for wanting to show that off. We’re the ones who make it so taboo. You try pole dancing and tell me how easy it is. Takes the same strength as aerial acrobats who we admire.
4) The Language: Why is it ok for you to be perverts making sexual comments towards the show but God forbid someone say anything in Spanish!? Last I checked this is The USA where we have a whole variety of cultures, languages, and heritages. People of all different backgrounds can come together and be free.
They were CHOSEN to do the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show. Three WOMEN- one of Mexican descent singing The Star Spangled Banner, one of Columbian descent, and the other of Puerto Rican descent performing for halftime. Players of all nationalities playing football, then people in the crowd and around the country of all nationalities enjoying watching the game.
The Super Bowl is meant to be an entertaining, good, fun time. Let’s not ruin it by taking us back in time. #SuperBowl #HalftimeShow #SuperBowl2020 #ESPN #JLoShakira
