Hallassan

Was born to a Halla Keeper and her husband, a hunter.

While she was pregnant, the Halla would occasionally nuzzle her belly

Shortly after he was born, a Halla foal took shaky steps over to the newborn and laid beside his cradle.

His mother then decided to name her son Hallassan.

He was very interested in his father’s hunting as a small child

He learned how to use a bow at a young age and became skilled with it quickly

In his early teen years he joined the hunters and brought home plenty of kills for the clan

For a time he considered getting Andruil’s vallaslin

When he was seventeen a mysterious infection took hold of a wound in his left forearm that no one could seem to heal

Eventually they were forced to amputate the arm to stop the infection spreading

With the loss of his arm, Hallassan retired to the life of a Halla Keeper alongside his mother, not that he minded

Hallassan had a hard time choosing his vallaslin and when the time came he was unable to go through with the ritual, being told by the keeper he was not yet mature enough for the responsibility of adulthood.

Even at 23 he was considered to immature to handle it given how he responded to the pain.

During the events of the breach, a group of red Templars attacked his clan’s caravan, ransacking everything and killing all but him.

He managed to escape by climbing onto one of the Halla and riding away before whining in the forest

This is where he meets the Inquisition forces and goes to Skyhold with them for refuge

He will eventually join them working in the stables and kitchens.
