How is it possible that less than three weeks into starting to watch Critical Role campaign one with no prior knowledge of the game, I have already:

- embarrassed myself in a geek megastore by nearly knocking over both the DM’s Handbook and Player’s Handbook displays while attempting to reach the 5e starter set

- been video recorded babbling about trying out DM-ing and telling my one friend who is dnd-experienced that he is NOT allowed to play a chaotic evil bard on the first campaign I ever run, while clutching said starter set

- the video has been uploaded to my friends’ group chat for shaming purposes

- some of my friends now GREET me with a deep sigh and “how is your dnd setup going”

- I find myself in the dead of night with 25 Etsy tabs for dice sets open

...is this normal??????
