both my waitressing jobs involve tips but the best one is at a bar where I can leave after 5-8 hours with $200-$400 in tips alone. it's amazing. definitely helps living in a place loaded with rich tourists (hawaii)!!

song of achilles by madeline miller - this is literally the life and times of achilles and patroclus being gay and tragic together. its amazing. its really sad. but also amazing. did i mention amazing? okay.
throne of glass by sarah j. maas - a first book in a fantasy series. a story about a female assassin named celaena who is serving a life sentence in the salt mines UNTIL SHES CHOSEN BY THE CROWN PRINCE TO REPRESENT HIM IN THE CONTEST held by the king to become the kings champion. its seriously incredible. the best female character ive ever read about. shes kick ass but also super girly and funny and stuff. theres romance in it.
daughter of smoke and bone by laini taylor - again a fantasy series. this one is better to get into knowing literally nothing. but to get you excited - a girl collects teeth for a warlock who trades them for wishes. this one was dethroned from its second place be tog only recently.
the raven boys by maggie stiefvater - [again a series] a girl comes from a family of psychics and shes the only female in the family who cant tell the future BUT she strengthens everyone elses gifts. INCREDIBLE AMAZING LOVABLE characters. a lot of dudes tho. lovable amazing incredible dudes, but still.
the day of the triffids by john wyndham - its not ya, just so you know. its about the apocalypse. like a few years before the action starts these weird ass plants start growing all around the world, people have no idea what those are but are like fine whatever AND THEN IT TURNS OUT THAT THESE PLANTS CAN WALK AND ARE /ALIVE/ AND HAVE THESE POISONOUS THINGS ON THEIR TOPS THAT THEY SWING AROUND. ONE HIT AND YOU ARE A DEAD MAN. also those plants are really tall. they are called the triffids. but people are like lol okay we still can control them so no big deal. THEN a meteorite shower appears out of nowhere and the next day everyone who saw it is blind. you can imagine how well everything goes from there.
a song of ice and fire by grrm - this series is my main life source, enough said.
uglies by scott westerfeld - a dystopian trilogy. at the age of 16 everyone gets a plastic surgery to become beautiful. sounds weird but its really GOOD. i havent read the last book BECAUSE I SPOILED IT FOR MYSELF AND IM STILL SAD ABOUT IT. ill get on it soon tho.
fangirl by rainbow rowell - a cutesy romance about a girl who goes to college. she writes fanfiction.
world war z by max brooks - DUH!
clockwork angel by cassandra clare - okay so the first one isnt all that amazing, but the trilogy itself is really great. its a prequel to the mortal instruments series but you dont have to read those.
