fingers  SNAKED  up  his  sleeve  ,  curving  around  his  wrist  as  she  leaned  across  the  bed   ,  covers  barely  making  any  attempt  at  decency  .  he  stank  .  absolutely  stank  .  he  knew  that  .  she  KNEW  that  .  yet  here  she  was  ,  wanting  nothing  more  for  him  to  fall  into  bed  with  her  &&  just  be  there  .  kicking  off  his  boots  ,  bucky  made  no  attempt  to  undress  himself  .  collapsing  beside  her  ,  still  in  jeans  &&  his  hoodie  ,  tired  &&  in  his  bones  aching  from  EVERYTHING  . closing  his  eyes  ,  he  buried  his  head  into  her  shoulder  gently &&  gave  a  soft  exhale  .

Liza had heard him come in the room-- honestly, she’d heard him coming down the hall. Some assassin he was, sounded more like a bull in a china shop, but she supposed that had something to do with him being somewhere familiar and safe. Even as she was wrapping her fingers around his wrist, she knew he smelled like he hadn’t showered in three weeks... though she wouldn’t be surprised if there was a level of truth behind that statement. But she didn’t care. All she cared about was having him in bed that had felt too empty without him there. “At least the boots made it off.” She teased, still half asleep as she pressed a kiss to his forehead. “You smell like the inside of a woman’s gym locker room-- which I have heard smells worse than the men’s.” Liza murmured sleepily, trying to keep herself awake to make sure she wasn’t just dreaming, her fingers slipping from his wrist to run gently through his hair.
