For part 2 of making as much of @bogleech ‘s Halloween bestiary as possible within the Halloween season, today we have the Sugar Fiend! This little guy looks awful cute doesn’t he? Perhaps he makes you a little bit hungry? Well don’t let him fool you, because appearances can be deceiving, and for this little guy, looking cute and tasty is the point; Sugar Fiends disguise themselves as the tasty Halloween treats you find on the shelf every Halloween, and they fully intend to be eaten, which allows them to possess the clueless new host, and cause them to start eating even more candy in order to sate their own hunger. That doesn’t sound too frightening on its own, but what if there are so many in a single neighborhood that it begins to run *out* of anything containing sugar? When there’s not even any fruit left on the trees in the area, they may turn towards the humans who have plenty of glucose running through their veins…

Admittedly there are tons of anthropomorphic candy creatures I could have made for this entry, some spookier than my little donut, but I’ve had this crochet kit sitting in my stash for longer than I’d like to admit, so I thought I’d use this Halloween season as a chance to finally use it. If you crochet and would like to make one, you can find it here:
