New art from the displate collection
I always thought it was weird that ATLA set up this philosophy of “all the elements are equal and amoral and benders will use their craft for good or evil” but then chucked it straight out the window when it came to the topic of bloodbending.
A power that creates fear and pain and only seems to be used for destruction? I can’t think of anyone who would know what that feels like.
Katara should have used bloodbending to strengthen her skills as a healer. That seems like the most obvious solution and fits with her character. This is a skill she learned from a SWT bender and although that bender used it for evil, she will use it for good.
Vague katara designs for a Hama au laterrrr
now i know people arent saying that aang’s refusal to kill ozai is a failure of aang’s morality and making it about zuko. need i remind anyone who thinks that the fact that zuko was only still alive because of aang’s morality, like when aang saved him in the blue spirit or at the northern water tribe when aang wouldve been well within his rights to leave zuko to die.
then people have the audacity to justify zuko belittling aang’s culture because ‘zuko suffered from the fire nation too.’ i will never deny the fact that zuko suffered and that it is a big part of why his character is the way it is, but you just cannot compare zuko’s suffering to the likes of aang, katara, sokka, and even hama even jet. zuko’s suffering is not comparable to those that have been oppressed and colonised by the fire nation, especially when zuko himself took part in that oppression and colonisation, and his boymom stans need to realise that before they speak on zuko’s trauma.

Inspired by one incorrect quote I can't find :(
It went on kind of like this: Hama said that the moon gives her power, and Katara replied that the moon gives her more power since Katara's brother dated her. If you know this post please please please tell me so I could credit the author of the original idea.
