more of your meet again AU please XD... I think Hiro would choose making Tadashi remember tho. and what if Takachiho was the last name of Tadashi's and Hiro's Grandmother? How's that for continuity?
Yes, I really should get back to that one. I have some more ideas/headcanons about it, especially considering the team.
Although it’d be a bit weird of Tadashi to remember his grandmother’s maiden name of all things when he’s suffering from such deep amnesia, lol
still I'd love for that to be the plot of the sequel :p
If a sequel is ever made, I’d be more afraid of them making Tadashi some sort of grimdark hero instead of the giant dork he is. So long as they properly evolve Hiro’s characterization as well, I’d be fine with anything.
frankly? I like that plot but it wouldn't end that way. with Hiro's personality he'd confront his brother about it.
Well, normally he would. But he’s been lied to by not only his so-called friends, but his aunt (who was in on it) and left out of the entire thing by Tadashi himself, which Hiro feels like it’s the biggest betrayal of all. Even if he was inclined to confront him about it, he’s nowhere near a stable emotional state to do so.
If you think about it another way, Hiro leaving is him trying to calm down and prepare himself to confront Tadashi. It’s just the preparation takes many months or even years, lol.
This is also intended to be a bit of a take that to AUs where Tadashi does do this and Hiro is immediately happy to see his (not dead) brother again despite not being in on whatever ‘plan’ there is.
just a question on your avengers-bh6 xover... Follows canon like your Guardian Tadashi stories?
Well that depends, do you mean does it follow canon as closely as Lighting Candles, or does it follow canon in the same way or the same universe?
I’ll go into it more under a cut.
The answer to the second one is no; they are two distinct stories, and Lighting Candles does not take place in the same universe as Magnets for Trouble.
In the case of the first question, I guess it does but it’s a little complicated. I try to play as close to the canon as possible, but the thing is that a less than two-hour movie plus whatever supplemental stuff I see online can only give me so much. Because of this, a lot of the details, especially with characterization, come from interpreting canon rather than following it. I interpret and expand upon it in a certain way for Lighting Candles, and in a different way for Magnets for Trouble. I kind of have to, since one is very much a fantasy, and the other is more sci-fi oriented.
The most I stray from the canon is on two points. The first is time period; there are implications that BH6 takes place decades into the future (which I sort-of-kind-of acknowledge in Candles but not Magnets). The second is that in the entire fic you will never hear me use the phrase “San Fransokyo”, though on the other hand I will also never use the phrase “San Francisco”. I don’t want to outright contradict the canon, but at the same time I don’t feel like the concept of San Fransokyo would mesh with the Avengers universe. Plus it’s never actually relevant, so it’s not like it takes extreme literary gymnastics to get around it. It’s not much, just a personal thing that literally never comes up in the story. You guys probably would never notice if I didn’t point it out.
Welp, I ended up rambling a bit. Sorry about that. Hope I answered your question, anyway.
"I'm sorry Gogo, couldn't save you" Tadashi apologized as he secretly followed Baymax who is carrying Gogo
"Jesus Christ, Baymax. Just let me go." She muttered as she tried to kick the companion. "It's over, Baymax. The war is over. Are you not getting your directives from the leader?"
"B-baymax! We did not join! Why are we getting stuffed inside a detention cell!!!" Hiro shouted as he ran for dear life.
"Because the Overlord requested it. Now, submit to the Hairy Baby religion or foam through your face orifices," Baymax kept pushing Hiro into the cell.
