" Hi Bro! "
TMNT
Well, Unexpected content on tmnt! I want some variety!
And…I’m back!
Sorry that I’ve been gone so long, it’s been a crazy summer! But in a good way! I had to take a break from writing my story and making art, but I am at least back at it for writing my story! In the meantime, have some artwork I did before I took a long sabbatical.
Just wondering for opinions here--what do you all think about the 2k3 turtles using the surname Splinterson?
Far as I know it's the only version that uses that. When I first started writing 03 fanfiction, another fan actually had to remind me. I still sometimes forget.
I know there was mixed thoughts on it. Peter Laird, as I recall, wasn't a big fan of it. "It sounds Scandinavian or something!"
For myself...not a big fan. Logically, it totally makes sense. A lot of the last names we have now that end in "son" literally came from a shortening of "the son of..." (Johnson, son of John, etc) so the surname of the turtles being a shortening of "son of Splinter" completely fits. He's their dad!
But...the sound of it just kind of grinds my nerves. I truly don't know why. I actually think the turtles introducing themselves as "sons of Splinter" sounds cool but once you shorten it, it bugs me 😂
Maybe I'm just attached to the Hamato surname. That's the one I always use...sometimes even in my 03 stories.
Nothing against you if you love Splinterson though! I'm just genuinely curious and wondering if i'm on an island here...
its been leo lately
