Modern day Hamlet trying to decide what streaming service to use. “Tubi or not Tubi”
@hamletkin is this anything
inspired by this wonderful post :3
Horatio showing Fortinbras his yearbook from Wittenberg
Horatio, pointing to Laertes: He’s dead
Horatio, pointing to Ophelia: She’s dead
Horatio, pointing to Osric: He’s not
Horatio, pointing to Hamlet: He is
Horatio, pointing to Rosencrantz and Guildenstern: I don’t know
hamlet au where instead of hamlet's chain of thoughts being "here's my father's ghost -> he wants me to avenge him -> I'll go do that," he goes "here's my father's ghost -> ghosts are real -> what other paranormal things exist in this world??' and he goes and becomes a ghost hunter.
You play Hamlet??? You play him like a flute??? Jail for Guildenstern!!! Jail for 10,000 years!!!
Hamlet is a HUGE My Chemical Romance fan
Horatio is the kind of person who prefers to listen to audiobooks and podcasts instead of music, except when Hamlet forces him to listen to emo music. He doesn’t really like it, but he humours Hamlet anyway because Hamlet just looks SO adorable when he talks about music (also he’s super flustered because he’s the only one who Hamlet let’s borrow his headphones, which makes it really intimate)
Ophelia likes Evanescence, Blackmore’s Night, Florence + The Machine, and whatever other fairycore/witchy stuff she finds. Casual enjoyer of Olivia Rodrigo. Listens to a little bit of Taylor Swift, but only a few of the darker songs (her favourite is my tears ricochet)
Laertes has a really broad music taste. Like he’s the kind of person who can genuinely enjoy nearly anything. It ranges from basic pop like one direction to heavy metal.
Claudius: “Who’s Taylor Swift? Is he one of those obscure singers that young people are listening to these days?” He’s listened to a total of five Queen and Beatles songs and considers himself a classic rock fan.
Gertrude basically only hears whatever basic pop happens to be on the radio at the time. Think Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Olivia Rodrigo, Megan Trainor, and Justin Bieber
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, idk they probably listen to a bunch of indie stuff of which I’ve never heard
Polonius thinks that Queen is super modern and recent. Doesn’t listen to anything later than Brahms and Tchaikovsky
Fortinbras like metal probably
Yorick really enjoys childrens’ cartoon soundtracks
