Exile Hammock headcannon: Even after being exiled, it took Jamack and Harris a long time to be honest with their feelings, expecally after burying them for so long.

Oh yea definitely. I’ve detailed this in other posts but it’s takes months to work up even platonic affection to become natural to the underfrog trio. And even still, I bet it’d take a while for them to even place what they’re feelings for each other are.

It’s not like they were given a whole lot of vocabulary to deal with emotional affairs back at the mod frogs Yknow? So it’s a learning process. But with enough time and enough learning (I headcannon that Jamack learns about proper affection and emotional competence from Kipo and Co and teach it to his group, but it could also come from whatever mutes/people they see as they travel) they’d muster up the courage to talk about it.

Once they finally talk about it, it’s super awkward, maybe even a bit messy depending on how either felt about previous flings, and neither frog is entirely sure how to navigate a proper romantic relationship, but it’s something they both feel much more comfortable trying outside the mod frogs than they were in it. But luckily, being without Mod Frog pressure makes navigating a new relationship a lot easier. And yes, Kwat is happy for her dumb friends.
