I have never had good experiences at the wal-mart in Hammond Louisiana. The employees are all, save for maybe one or two, the rudest people I've ever come across. Still, I shop here because there are things I can only get here. After today, I will NOT be shopping here anymore. I have never been treated with so much disrespect - for no reason - as I have today. I stood in line for about 15-20 minutes while the people ahead of me, who had a huge buggy full of items, rang up things in order so they could coupon. It took forever, but that was understandable. When it was MY turn, however, the cashier completely ignored me and ushered the man behind me AHEAD of me so that she could ring up his items since, in her words "that was all he had." I was not asked if I was okay with this. I was not even spoken to. I was flat out ignored. I had FROZEN items in my buggy and I had to get home to start dinner. This behavior was NOT okay. I had patiently waited for my turn, only to be "cut" because the cashier decided who was going to go first. NOT cool and NOT professional. I worked as a cashier at CVS for a long time. Had I done this, I would have been fired - ON THE SPOT!!!! My boss would not have tolerated that kind of behavior! So I called to talk to the manager - instead I get someone who keeps trying to insist I speak with them. Eventually I'm told the manager is in a meeting and that they could be in the meeting for "hours" - that they have NO idea when the manager will be out. Frankly, I felt like they were lying to avoid letting me speak to the manager. Her overall tone was nasty, snotty and almost as if she were amused by the fact that I wanted to speak to the manager. So I called corporate. But I had to write a about it, because I'm so disgusted right now by this walmart and their employees. I will not EVER step foot back inside this store.
