Red's demeanor in Sisterhood's universe frequently gives others the impression he's standoffish and perhaps even rude - Misty certainly assumes he's the latter initially.

But in truth, Red is simply incredibly shy!

Whenever Misty is present, he not only refuses to look her in the eye, but unlike his twin, Leaf, who makes gestures or writes whatever she wishes to say on her Rotom Phone after entering the state of silence, Red won't communicate with her at all.

And Misty hates being ignored.

He will occasionally sneak peeks at Misty but swiftly averts his gaze. Her patience with what she believes to be his bad attitude eventually runs out and she confronts him!

Misty: What is your problem?! Why do you hate me?! I haven't done anything for you to act this way around me!

Red won't reply to her questions. He merely lowers the brim of his hat and resumes his attempts to avoid meeting her gaze. Her response to this is repeatedly stepping into his line of sight, but apparently, Red is determined to continue ignoring her.

Misty soon feels a light tap on her arm. She turns around and Leaf is holding out her Rotom Phone and pointing to the message onscreen with a gentle yet mischievous smile.

"Maybe I should have mentioned this before, but my brother gets super nervous around pretty girls."

Her eyes widen, then her expression softens. She shifts her attention towards Red once again, who is staring down at the ground and also shuffling his feet.

Misty: You think I'm... pretty?

He slowly lifts his head and at last establishes eye contact, his brown ones looking upon her apologetically in addition to what she can only describe as a sense of pure awe. Red then offers her a timid little nod, his cheeks the shade of Clefairy pink.

Misty's mouth goes agape and it's her turn to go silent. Something is stirring within her heart. Embarrassment, or perhaps remorse for her having just yelled at him?

Before she can even begin to express these thoughts aloud however, Red's next course of action is to flee from her!

Misty: *to Leaf* WHERE IS HE GOING?!?! *proceeds to chase after him* HEY! Don't run away while I'm trying to apologize!!

Name: Kai

Gender: Male

General Appearance: Short, curled brown hair that goes down to his cheeks - it goes copper in the sunlight. Greenish grey eyes. Blues and yellows, sporty attire that he can move around in. Swim shorts. Baseball cap on his head. Freckles if he stays out in the sun too long.

Personality: All business. Prefers to ignore people if they're bothering him, but otherwise cheery and willing to help others out. Gets exasperated rather easily though, impatient. Competitive, despite trying to hide it - he's very bad at hiding it. He's very bad at hiding a lot of things, really.

Special Talents: Swims really well - as is expected, given his mother. Really athletic, very active. Can run super fast across the sand regardless of footwear. Never burns in the sun.

Who they like better: Misty.

Who they take after more: I don’t think I know enough about either of them to make a solid decision.

Personal Headcanon: Studies Pokémon of dual typing, specifically type combinations that are rare, or seem illogical. However, he's been wondering lately whether or not it's too late to switch to battling instead. His starter is a Lanturn.
