Travelling with carry-on only!

I travelled quite a bit the last few years and I learnt a few things, so I thought I might share my knowledge haha

The key to travelling with only hand luggage is to use as little products as possible, but also avoiding liquids. So, use multifunctioning products! I usually put all my liquids into a small plastic bag.

My vanity bag:

Facial Cleanser (crueltyfree, vegan, zero-waste // very gentle cleanser for sensible but also acne-prone skin)

Make up Remover (zero-waste // removing make up with only water? Yes, sir! Less trash > better for our environment and perfect for sensitive skin)

Moisturizer (natural cosmetic // my favourite, I had a hard time finding a moisturizer my skin likes)

Toothbrush

Toothpaste or tooth tabs (crueltyfree, vegan // I have never tried them but my friend swears by them and the are perfect if you want to save place for other liquids on a plane)

Deodorant (have not found the perfect one yet)

Shower gel (I usually fill it into a smaller bottle)

Shampoo (crueltyfree, vegan, zero-waste // fav shampoo bar)

Sunscreen (I usually get a small non brand one)

King of Skin (crueltyfree, vegan, zero-waste // favorite lush product, perfect for dry skin! but be vary it might melt, so don’t take it with you too very hot places)

Razor (I use generic ones, no particular recommendations)

My make-up bag:

either Foundation (crueltyfree, vegan // bad color range but actually a good product for the price) OR Concealer (crueltyfree)

Powder (crueltyfree, vegan // v cheap and really good)

Bronzer (I use a cheap one of a German drugstore chain, I also use bronzer as eyeshadow)

Eyeliner (crueltyfree, vegan // faaaav!)

Eyeshadow (crueltyfree // combining this palette with the bronzer you can get some nice natural looks + I use the 2 light shades as highlighter)

Mascara (crueltyfree, vegan // great for sensitive eyes)

Lipstick (crueltyfree // use it as lipstick and as “cream blush”)

Sponge, shader brush, blender brush, powder brush

EU votes to make hand luggage for air passengers free of charge

Airlines will not be allowed to charge passengers any additional fees for carrying hand luggage on board.

European Union lawmakers have voted to adopt a proposal that will allow air passengers to bring a personal item into the cabin and a piece of hand luggage of up to seven kilogrammes free of charge. “Today's vote marks an important step toward fairer and more transparent travel,” Matteo Ricci, vice-president of the EU Committee on Transport and Tourism and the bill's lead sponsor, said in a press release. He added that clearly defined rules for free hand luggage were “a fundamental right to avoid unjustified extra costs”, ensuring a “fairer and more efficient system”. The measure comes in addition to wider reforms proposed by the European Commission in 2023 on passenger rights. It would require airlines to disclose total flight costs earlier in the booking process and affect compensation rights. Here’s how the ruling will affect air passengers and when the changes could come into effect.
