Right in the access lane again, front and center, blocking the entire curb cut-out. It's been there at least a couple of hours, based on the frost and such on the front windshield.

The local pd could literally get a ticket a day for this shit by just chilling out around this neighborhood, I swear.

The City of Waveland is currently soliciting bids to construct a handicapped access ramp on their beach.

It will include an access ramp that would allow wheelchairs to have a quick and easy path from Coleman Avenue Beach parking lot onto the beach and right into the water.

The project is being made a reality through Marine Resources Tidelands Funding.

Arizona

Yesterday I got home from a trip to Arizona. For a charity event for Becton Dickinson. It was amazing! The hotel I stayed at (The Westin) was so disability friendly! My mom told them I was disabled and they gave us the first room by the elevator. They had 24/7 room service with plenty of gluten free options. The spa had a wheelchair lift for the hot tub, as did the lazy river. I'd say the only downside was the prices. Also the pillows were terrible. But my overall experience was a positive one. Well done, Westin!

In the United States, there are 56 million people with disabilities. Polling stations are required by federal law to follow certain steps for accessibility. But many polling places don’t meet even the basic requirements.

“People with disabilities get the IDs...at much lower rates, partially because many disabled people don’t drive. Four states deny the ballot to people who live under guardianship. And 30 states have laws that can ban people from voting who have been considered “mentally incapacitated” by a court,” writes author Alan Montecillo.
