Has anyone else gone through a sort of modeling identity crisis? For years, I was collecting & building WWII RAF fighters in 1/72 scale. All graceful curvy things. Even the Defiant. (The Defiant is hilarious.)
Lately, though, I’ve been real keen on the horde of weird airliner designs from the interwar period. I have one on my shelf, a 1/72 DeHavilland Dragon Rapide “City of Bristol” in Railway Air Services livery. Bad R.A.S. livery, at that. Some of these things are absolutely goofy, though. Annoyingly, not all of them are kitted. Really want an Airspeed Ferry. Can’t find anything of that. Or a Handley-Page H.P.42/45. There’s an ancient Airfix kit of that in 1/144, or a vacuum-formed kit in 1/72 that scares me
Still, my point was whether anyone else has done this to themselves?
