So weekly story to share with you all ❤ Over the last 3 weeks I've added teacher to my list of duties, as many of you have as well, and while I thought I was handling everything it became very clear that I wasn't. After still putting in my 40 hours at work, normal household chores & errands and maneuvering 3 separate grade levels it all just came to a head on Tuesday night. I found myself locked in my bathroom crying uncontrollably for a good 5 minutes before washing off my face and resuming the night's duties. Like many of you I rarely take time to make sure that I'm doing okay and sometimes that just leads to a moment of feeling beyond overwhelmed. I can't let my kids know I'm tired because they didn't ask to be homeschooled nor is it their fault that it adds to my already overworked schedule. Point is ladies, take time to just let it out if you need to because being super mom doesn't mean you're incapable of having a moment. Listen to your body and try to find ways to lighten your load whenever possible. For me it was a solid mini cry, pep talk in the mirror, hugs from my babies, and 2 glasses of wine 🍷 🍷 You're human too and entitled to a moment for yourself ❤❤ #blackmomssocialclub #blackmoms #selfcare #handlingstress #mentalhealth #overworked #overwhelmed #family #motherhood #homeschool #covidsucks https://www.instagram.com/p/CExS35LFNVB/?igshid=1sdrmgokcnwah
