Hi! - I want to attend JIB con in November, but there are no tickets available. There must be someone who had previously gotten a ticket but no longer wants to/can go given Covid delays. Where is the best place to express my interest in getting a ticket? Also, I know that the JIB organization doesn't like hearing about buying or selling tickets, but is there a way to express that I am willing to pay the face value of the ticket so whoever I get it from doesn't lose money, or is that not allowed?
Hi there
There is a JIB fan led facebook page, where there are handover documents where people list their available tickets or people can list their interest.
That is the only way you can acquire a ticket if you did not receive one via the organisers when ticket requests were happening.
You can not buy or sell a ticket for JIB. This is super important. This is not how this convention works and those words can not be used when discussing ticket handovers.
The JIB organisers are not involved in the handover process. Though they need to be notified when a handover has been agreed on, and must approve any handover request.
Do not contact the JIB organisers directly - the handover process is between attendees and potential attendees.
Request to join the Facebook group, and someone there will assist you and point you in the right direction.

Also, the link below is an amazing guide by a JIB regular, that goes through a lot of questions and JIB specific processes.
