this is actually something that is very important to me, far too often in fanfics are slashers (especially smaller slashers) picking up the reader "effortlessly", and it upsets me quite often.

these are some my exceptions to that, please enjoy. 🖤

he’s seen picking people up just by the neck alone with one hand. and while, sure, not plus sized people (as far as I can remember at least), I think it still counts for something.

these are farm boys, do I really have to explain myself? (I will anyway idc)

anyway, like I said, these are farm boys.

they are literally born and bred to carry heavy stuff, not to mention they carry people for a living..

Jason Vorhees (post-zombification)

I specify post zombification for a very specific reason, while I certainly don’t doubt that he was strong before this (especially as he is still a big boy pre Tommy killing and resurrecting him.) I do believe that zombie Jason is much stronger.

if I’m not mistaken, I can almost remember him being (very momentarily) stunned by his own strength upon becoming a zombie.

Freddy Krueger

now listen, I know what you’re thinking, and yes this does contradict exactly what I said before we started.

BUT!! he is a half exception.

you see, Freddy lives in some sort of dream/nightmare world, he controls this world.

I fully believe that he could make you light as a feather, or even himself stronger if he so pleases, as long as you’re in his nightmare world with him of course.

Rusty Nail

now Rusty, as we know, is a large boy, a trucker, and a farm boy, so he has quite a lot going for him on this one.

however!! he is also getting up there in years, he’s not exactly young.

I think I’d give him maybe 20 minutes before he starts aching (or old man grumbling/complaining).

I think we all know he’s big, and strong.

I don’t really have much to say about his place in this, I just know in my soul that he needed to be here (despite not being a slasher..)

FYI!!

The original Addams Family television set was painted bright, vibrant colors like pink (as well as yellow and turquoise) because of how early black-and-white film captured hues.

Dark colors tended to blend together or look muddy on camera, so bright, contrasting colors were used to create the perfect Gothic grayscale.
