Some photos from the Justice For Elijah #BlackLivesMatter march in Melbourne today. The rally was angry but never out of control, and there were at most 300 people. The march ended at Flinders street station, and waiting for us were units of mounted coppers, as well as officers in body armor. Freaking body armor! There were at least 10 kids under 16 up the front of the march, and that's what was waiting for them. The rally was totally peaceful of course. There was a lot of rage from the elders who spoke, but nothing that was inciting people to violence. Nothing that warranted a mini army that's for sure.
