Diagnosis: hunger.

*The robot doesn't seem to be coming any closer, which gives Tess pause. She still holds her gun warily.*

[Floats by, whirring and beeping. She stops when she sees Tess, however, and makes a weird clicking noise.] Child. Where is your mother unit?

*Tess gives a startled little jump when she spots the robot, and skitters back a few steps.*
