Since one code is definitely not enough for me I’m now learning a type of shorthand for fun. I did a bunch of research to figure out which one would work best for my purposes and decided on handywrite, which is based on the more popular Gregg system, but since it includes vowels and doesn’t abbreviate words you can actually read it months after you wrote it, unlike Gregg, which most people transcribe into plain English soon after they write it. Handywrite is somewhat slower but is more readable. It’s difficult because a lot of the symbols are very similar and differ only in length, but I have high hopes! Every little squiggle in the picture is a word (except for some of the ones where it’s just a single line, i was just practicing the strokes).
One of my other codes is at the top of the page, it’s much simple and mostly just has a symbol for each english letter. But it does have lots of cool features like special symbols for common words, some letters use different symbols depending on on where they are in the word, and it’s written right to left. I made it in 7th grade and I can read and write it as well as english.
