'So much work.' She grumbled internally. Sure, she didn't have the work with her, and wasn't currently burdened with carrying the piles of papers she needed to take care of before work tomorrow, but it didn't stop her mind from wandering to her work. Things never changed with her, it seemed, and she doubted they ever would. Not when she was in her line of work, anyway.

As she peered down at the ground, her glasses fell off of her nose, hitting her shoe and bouncing behind her. She narrowly avoided stepping on them, cursing out loud. "Shit!" It was completely uncharacteristic of her, and anyone that knew her would have commented on it, maybe even teased her about it. Before she could grab them, however, someone else had beaten her to it. Her blue eyes slowly wandered from their hand to their face, her walls going up, realizing it was a stranger.
