Approaching strangers on the streets is not all too much an issue to Yoohyeon, but she would absolutely be damned if this was her daily job as it quickly grows tedious. Not to mention that she believes this to be highly unnecessary, most people nowadays find the information online anyway, especially the targeted group of audience-- ultimately, she thinks that the trees could have been spared, or fall victim to better use. She is not in charge, however, sadly.

A broad smile rests upon carefully tinted lips, almost bright as the beaming sun. “Excuse me? Please take a flyer from KT Entertainment,” she offers one of those many notes to a passing male while mentioning that it hold information about upcoming dates and events.

forever this way

    saerom began to wonder if the cycle would ever end. the endless circle of her coming to her parents rescue at their every beck and call, of her being the only reliable child, of her constantly being suffocated by her stupid brothers and their friends. seungho was still young and living at home, so he kind of had an excuse for being useless. however, that did not make him any less annoying.

    mom and dad are gone for the weekend and we don’t have any money for takeout, please come cook for us. saerom was reluctant, but it was hard to ever tell her little brother no. so she begrudgingly made her way home where she found seungho and an assumed friend as she had seen him around once or twice. whatever they were doing, they took a break as soon as the woman arrived - her brother setting off into the house in hunt for god knows what and leaving her alone in the living room with hangyul.

    luckily, she wasn’t shy nor the one for small talk. saerom had managed to speak to him a few times before so thankfully it wasn’t painfully awkward. key word: painfully. a sigh passes her lips as she leans back onto the couch directly across from the other, pulling her knees up to her chest. “hey.” she speaks and it’s at least the 100th time she’s said it. “seungho called me here and now he’s being stupid. i’m bored, and i’m not going to stop annoying you until you give me some attention.”

he liked to pretend that he wasn’t soft, that he was totally mature and acted older than his age, that he wasn’t completely in love with his villagers in animal crossing. 

it was one those games his brother relentlessly teased him about and why junhyuk only exclusively played it out of the house so minhyuk couldn’t come bursting into the room just to laugh at him. which was why he was now sat with his switch lite in the park next to the leisure centre he took his diving lessons in to get in some game time before his lesson. he still had some time, just going through the daily tasks, digging up fossils and chatting to his villagers. 

when the most awful thing was spoken by one of his favourite villagers. 

“wade, no don’t leave! you can never leave i love you.” he may have shouted that out loud, completely oblivious to anyone else who happened to be nearby at the time, oblivious he might have screamed right in someone face right then, eyes just glued to the screen in front of him.

the aftermath

the performance comes to an end and yugyeom finishes up talking with a few of his regular fans who had of course shown up to this. he’d been setting the speaker they used inside the cart when he turned to the younger with a grin. “lets get dinner, yeah?” and thankfully managed to get hangyul to agree. the younger male was kind of funny, but yugyeom has been around enough different types of people to know how to handle him.

and thats how they ended up at a meat place near by. thanks to the nights tips, as well as having busked all weekend, yugyeom was more than able to afford to take them both out to get some meat. and the all you can eat place just a little ways down the fashion street was always a nice treat. he doesn’t come enough to be known by the staff, but enough he supposes. 

“do you want anything to drink other than water? cola, cider? beer?” he would get a cider himself, going on almost a year without drinking and he planned to keep it strong. “anything is fine, dont worry about it-- hyungs treat!”
