i read all of the manga within 18 hours and it was honestly a never-ending nightmare. i have since given up on the hope my favorite characters will survive and i am striving only for inumaki for the sake of my mental health.

hello! asking for writing advice here, personally i love the idea of writing but whenever i sit down to write everything i was planning in my head just *poof* and i end up writing garbage. how do you plan out your stories in such a way that everything that you are thinking, the ideas that you are planning, get on the paper? I know it’s a weird question, and sorry if it doesn’t really make sense. hope u are safe and healthy rn :D

this is u__u one of those questions that i honestly don’t really have an answer for haha like. this is gonna sound super freaking terrible, but -- i legit. do not plan anything. u_____u;;;;;; 

i KNOW i know. it’s like the most unhelpful thing. but it’s the god-honest truth. i am. very bad. at planning things. like so very bad. if i sit down to plan a fic, it will never, and i mean never happen the way i want it to happen. so i just kinda. let the fic happen. here is my writing process: 

scroll through the requests i have until something catches my eye 

and when something catches my eye, it means that something clicks in my brain like a first sentence or an image pops into my head 

and i just sit down and write that out. and everything after just kinda happens. 

i suppose when i am writing it, there will be bits and pieces that come to me that’s like ahead of what i’m writing. for me, it kinda feels like driving in a heavy fog, where you can kinda only see a couple of feet ahead of you? and sometimes, the fog gets thinner, and you’ll see a bit more but then it’ll grow again, and like you’ll kinda know what’s coming, but you won’t know the whole picture. that’s why so often, i write in little vignettes or fragments, bc it’s legit how i see the story playing out in my head. 

the way i like to think of it that doesn’t stress me out so much is this -- every single story that anyone’s ever told, ever planned to tell, ever even remotely thought of is already out there, somewhere in the ether. just like. floating in this vast hammerspace of stories. and when something catches my eye, it’s the story reaching out to me, as the conduit, and i just kinda have to keep the door open far enough and long enough for the story to come through me and onto the metaphorical paper. 

this way, the creative pressure is never on you, the writer. because half the time, i stg idk where these ideas come from. they just. appear. and for me, this is the way im choosing to deal with the so-called creative process which has been the bane of so many writer’s/creator’s existences. if all the ideas are already out there, if all the stories are already out there, somewhere, then all you have to do is focus on the telling, to the best of your ability. 

so, don’t stress. let the stories come to you. they’re like cats -- the more you try to get close to them, the more they run away. but if you just sit and let them come, then they’ll come to you u__u <3

+ i really, really wanted to include itadori in this but i couldn’t think of another person to put him with and then i thought WAIT YUUTA AND INUMAKI ??? YES 

breakfast food at any time of the day?? yuuta is your no.1 best friend!! before you can even ask, he’s already grinning and grabbing syrup to drizzle over waffles, or pancakes, or sausages ,, while inumaki is quietly pouring cereal into a bowl of milk and munching in the corner. why is inumaki sitting in the corner? he’s still mad about that one time yuuta clumsily knocked over the syrup bottle and spilled it all over the table and his clothes.  

i can definitely see you and yuuta bonding over poetry -- he’s apparently an infj so mans definitely likes deeper meaning and pretty words, and he would be all too willing to spend leisure time reading different poetry books with you sitting side-by-side.  he would get so excited to show you his favorite verses or poems, and when he later finds out that you have never even finshed the books, he will not stop making fun of ur commitment issues. 

there’s no need to worry about never brushing your hair because inumaki is the exact same way!! this boy just goes with the flow, he wakes up ready to start the day and could care less about what he looks like → sometimes you have to force him to shower i’m sorry JAKFDALF INUMAKI

i see the three of you wandering around libraries, but not to study.  it’s more to talk about exciting things and explore the beautiful architecture and pull out volumes of books that catch your eye with old stitching ,, and then sliding down stair bannisters to reach the underground floor with vending machines where you spend the last of your pocket money on snacks to spread out on the floor and share. art stores are always fun places to visit; inumaki and yuuta keep you company as you select different acyrlic paints or fine-liners or mixed media. you all would be the friend group with nice fashion.

AAAAAAA hi hi drew I am supposed to be studying but u posted and I felt an obligation to run to your ask box as soon as possible‼️‼️ my favorite trope is strangers to lovers/friends to lovers (more friends to lovers tho bc it's so wholesome and sweet I just melt ). you probably both had the same bento box or sumn, and from then on out it was bffs. he’s so smiley and loving, and you’d get along perfectly bc he’s funny, you’re funny, you both get each other without having to say anything at all. but damn he would try to hang on to that friendship for AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. he’d be terrified of messing up what you both have bc he doesn’t want to give it up for the world. but soon enough things fall into place after much pining :’) he would definitely let you wear his hoodies. and they would smell nice and be cozy. 

+ for being good advice givers you both have such amusing memories of making BAD DECISIONS ,, but he loves that he has someone to comfort him and he thinks the way you treat others is so beautiful and can’t help but melt in soft

Okkotsu feels Inumaki tugging on his sleeve, and when he looks up, he watches Inumaki point directly at you (or more specifically, your book). It's a thick paper-back, which makes it an even better tool to use to wake Gojo-Sensei up. Inumaki doesn't wait to bolt toward you; however, Okkotsu does try to grab his jacket to stop. This doesn't work (there's really no stopping Inumaki once he sets his mind on something), so Okkotsu settles with chasing after his heels because he knows you probably won't appreciate two Tokyo students stealing your new book to harass Gojo. Although, you strangely don't mind at all. In fact, you even seem ... happy? After Inumaki explains in hand-gestures and vocal cues that Gojo fell asleep again, you want in on the escapade. And that is how the three of you find yourself stuck to the floor in the back of the train as a metaphorical representation of time-out for disrespecting Gojo's ego. Don't worry, though, you manage to notify Utahime who laughs and lets the three of you sit in the Kyoto-car for the rest of the trip.

synopsis: it’s because you’ve both been friends for years, nanami thinks.  that’s why he’s inviting you to dinner.  to catch up with the person who’s been by his side since training with haibara.  that’s why he’s fussing with his cufflinks and fidgeting with the position of his watch.  that’s why he had to down a glass of champagne even though he doesn’t like it, because it’s the only alcohol that gojou left untouched.  that’s why he’s picking you up in the evening, of all times, to catch up.  he’s nervous because you’re an old friend, he tells himself.  that’s all. 

it’s definitely not because of the swell of pride whenever you swung your katanas, and how right it felt to fight alongside you.  and it’s not because every small moment he spends with you feels like he's floating, gliding through a dream-like phase where nothing could ever go wrong.  at least, not if the two of you are together.  and it’s definitely not because he can’t stop thinking about when you last said goodbye, pulling him into a hug despite his grumbling and pressing a chaste kiss to his cheek. 

but then he sees you again, and everything nanami’s been telling himself falls down the drain.
