had a really fun conversation with my friends about hank zipzer the other day. that show was so GOOD!! it came out when i was like growing out of kids media but i kept up with it for a longg time after bc it was actually so well made. looking for the hank zipzer fandom guys!!!

I was watching this video. Seriously inspirational. Someone dyslexic working hard to do what they love and becoming a books YouTube channel. Amazing.
So near the middle, he talks about this technique he uses to help him. Covering some of the page with a flash card with a slit cut in the middle to minimise the words you see.
And I recognised it. From an old CBBC show, Hank Zipzer. In one of the episodes, he was trying to read a book, and used a ruler and his hand to cover up the page.
CBBC have always been great about loads of representation, even before Jamie Johnson. I love it. (I’ll try to post my full thoughts on episode 12 of JJ tomorrow)
