Happy birthday!! For my gift, I bring the mental image of Spy filling Demo’s room with flowers so when he gets back after a battle he’s so shocked he can’t move. And then probably starts crying

PLEAAAASE omg thank you so much for this mental image... I am rotating them in my mind... No one would do romance quite like them honestly I need to draw them again. Spy constantly doing insanely romantic stuff like that for demo... Demo and spy visiting Scotland and demo pulling out all the stops in return (arranging a horse drawn carriage to take them to a ball or restaurant for example... ) I think about how you write them so often too their dynamic is perfect in your work.

Which do you think is better for bloodweave, doing a Gale origin playthrough or a Astarion origin playthrough?

a GREAT question i don't have a good answer to because I myself am still unsure which way i want to do it. ill be ENTIRELY honest i still haven't even reached act 3 myself in either of my Tav playthroughs. im going on second hand knowledge for a lot of things and interpretations which. i usually hate. but i simply do NOT have the time to keep playing rn and the brainworm tadpole wont let me be chill abt it :(

so uh. depends on the bloodweave vibes you want and what ending you want to go for i think? esp for act 1 shenanigans re: astarions 'secret' and his master plan of manipulation. i do expect setting them up to be easier in an astarion og playthrough because you get gale approval sooo easily by just following the plotlines and sidequests + you can justify some gale approval directed choices by going "ah well its part of the manipulation" - while PERSONALLY i felt like for astarion approval you kinda gotta go out of your way (esp if you take roleplaying seriously bc it feels like. gale esp early on wouldnt get that many Astarion Approves). on the other hand; wouldnt that make it a bit more interesting hehe...

all that said. tell me what you pick and ill pick the other one and then we can compare notes 😘

ALSO im considering to go for wyll in my astarion playthrough but. not sure yet not sure yet. might also switch those around...

for the thing: thoughts on DemoEngie? saw you had a little bit of writing on it

I, uh, got a fic request… to write short fuse… so I did. lol. tbh I never really considered it until about a day ago but now that I have it’s really really cute ! so I guess thats technically the start. if it works it works

they’re both outgoing and occasionally in touch with their own emotions and like… they’re basically the ONLY TWO people on the team who are both of those things. they’re really healthy! they joke around and tease each other and probably kill each other a lot (comes with the job) but at the end of the day they meet up somewhere and cuddle for a while and talk things out and make sure everything’s going smoothly with each other. plus I think Engy is like the ONLY person that could ever meet Demo’s mum’s impossible standards. he has 11 PhDs and is probably a multi-trillionaire at this point. it’s gonna take some work but mum’ll grow to love him

I don’t know if there are any popular opinions for this ship? but I guess talking about the characters overall I’ll propagate this propaganda: Demo is not an asshat, Engy’s a little bit of one

Because Ron was remarkably unpopular among fic writers relative to his page-time in canon. Ron was my favorite, so this annoyed me constantly. It’s true regardless of het vs. slash or which part of the fandom you were in.

(Ron was plenty popular with the larger population of book readers as far as I can tell, just not as a subject for fic.)

Close Enough by Helenish is my favorite Harry/Ron fic. (Is this up anywhere not on the Wayback machine?)
