“We don’t have anyone on patrol that can do it. Do you have any better ideas?” He answered.

“She’s your daughter. You lost Camille. You lost Justin, and you’re willing to risk losing her too?” Erin said harshly. You could see anger flashover Hank’s face before he took a calming breath.

“First of all, you know damn well I wouldn’t be sending her out there if I thought it was too dangerous. Secondly, you’re my daughter too Erin. I put you out there, undercover on the daily why would this be any different?” He said jaw clenched. Erin looked between the two of you before taking a deep breath.

“She’s never been undercover before.” She sat back down.

“If you can do it I can do it thank you very much.” You raised an eyebrow challenging her making her laugh and shake her head.

“Just promise us you’ll be careful.” Hank said seriously.

“I’m a Voight. These douchebags don’t know what’s coming for them.” You shrugged getting up and shifting through your father’s drawers.

“What are you doing?” He asked annoyance in his voice.

“I’m hungry don’t you have any snacks in here?” You asked making him stare at you blankly. “Okay fine guess I’ll starve. Let’s go over this case.” You huffed walking towards the door and opening it, conversation in the room ceasing, obviously questioning Al about you, and once again eyes turning to look at you. “Can you tell them to stop looking at me like that?” You whispered to Erin making her laugh.

“Alright everyone this is Detective Voight. She will be joining us for this case.” He explained. At the sound of your name everyone shared confused looks.

“Yes, she’s my daughter.” Hank confirmed their obvious suspicions.

“No way!” One of the men exclaimed.

“You never told them you had a daughter?” You crossed your arms turning to your father, offended look on your face.

“I have to keep them off Erin, I didn’t feel like doing that with you too.” He explained glaring at the men who were staring at you. “Anyway, back to the case.” Hank implied getting the guys attention. He went on to explain what the plan was before ordering you all to suit up and get ready. The men came over introducing themselves before heading downstairs. Jay being the last one to shake your hand before walking away as soon as he did you turned to Erin eyebrow raised.

“What?” She asked innocently.

“Damn. Good job girl.” You nodded your head in approval making her blush profusely.

“Can you not.” She walked away from you going down the stairs. You followed everyone else walking over to the man they kept referring to as “Mouse.” He wired you up expertly as you innocently flirted with him loving how easily you could make him blush. The plan went down without a hitch. Walking back into the district you were feeling good. You didn’t want to admit it, but the case had you completely second guessing your decision to stay at homicide. As everyone else sat down at their computers you and Erin were ushered into Hank’s office again.

“Well? What’d you think?” You dad asked smirking at you.

“It was definitely badass.” You admitted sighing.

“I’m really proud of you.” Erin smiled as the protective big sister vibe took over the room.

“[Y/N], I know you don’t want to feel like you didn’t earn a spot here. That’s another reason I brought you in. To prove to you that you can do and it’s not just because I’m your dad. I think you could do really well here, and I just want you to know that offer is still on the table.” Your dad said. You sighed at his words.

“I don’t know…” You replied running a hand down your face.

“You know how awesome it would be to work together.” Erin jumped in trying to persuade you, making you grin nodding your head.

“It definitely would be. I just.. I’ll have to think about it.” You answered.

“Better answer than I’ve gotten in the past.” Hank shrugged taking that as a good sign.

“I do have one question though.” You stated looking between the two.

“What?” Erin pressed.

“If I work here does that mean I can’t take a crack at that Mouse guy?” You smirked as your dad groaned.

“You can’t take a crack at Mouse even if you don’t work here.” Your father stated tone serious.

“What? Why not? Is he married or something?” You asked.

“Nope. Totally single.” Erin smiled enjoying Hank’s expression.

“Oh I’m totally going for it. Sorry dad.” You smiled getting up to walk out.

“[Y/N]!” He scolded but you were already out the door walking towards Mouse’s desk, Erin laughing hard. “Why did I decide to have two daughters.” Hank huffed head in his hands.

You knew the relationship wasn’t healthy, but you couldn’t just get out of it. It’s not as easy as everyone makes it out to be. If he got mad about you leaving a dish on the table you could only imagine his reaction after he found you once you left, and he promised he would always find you. It doesn’t start out like this. It’s not like you knew you were putting yourself in this situation until it was too deep. It started out great. Lucas was a great guy. You had met him after bumping into him in a coffee shop a few times. Eventually he asked you out and it was great. For a year and a half he was the perfect gentleman, and you had fallen head over heels. So, whenever he had asked you to move in with him you had no hesitation to accept. If only you would’ve known then what would result in that move. Within a month Lucas shifted to a completely different person. He had become controlling and abusive. It started out emotionally/mentally but quickly turned physical. You couldn’t believe this was happening to you. You never thought you would be stuck in a situation like this and yet here you were fearing for your life. Of course there were those times where you had those slight glimmers of hope. Whenever Lucas would take you out to a nice dinner or bring you home flowers just because, but then you realized days like those only followed the nights where you feared for you life. He had always promised he wouldn’t do it again, that he didn’t mean to hurt you, but you knew those were empty promises. Ones you didn’t know how to get away from. You were standing at the fridge looking for something to make for dinner whenever you heard a knock at the door. You shut the fridge heading to open the door and your eyes widened at the sight of two good looking men standing in your doorway flashing badges at you.

“Does Lucas Graham live here?” The younger brunette asked. You shook your head yes words getting caught in your throat. “Where is he?” The man continued.

“At work. He should be home soon.” You answered looking at the clock over your shoulder.

“We are going to have to search the apartment.” The older man informed you. Instantly panic arose within you. You had no idea what was going on, but you knew if you let them in you would surely be dead and you didn’t think you could handle much more, still in pain from the night before after returning late from work.

“Uh..I-I don-“ You tried to piece together words mind going a million miles a minutes.

“We have a search warrant.” The man with the deep voice stated holding a piece of paper out to you. You swallowed hard nodding and stepping aside for them to come in. It never occurred to you that Lucas had been up to something, but at this point anything was possible you felt like you were living with a stranger, most of the time honestly. You had asked what they were looking for, but they seemed to be dodging your questions. Atleast it seemed like they were not suspicious that you were involved or anything which you were grateful for. You corporated with all their questions knowing this could be your chance to get out. That was until Lucas came walking in the door. Eyes widening when he realized what was happening.

“Nice of you to join us.” The younger male joked grabbing Lucas and pushing him up against the wall throwing handcuffs on us.

“What is going on?” Lucas asked acting confused, but you could feel his glare on you making you super uneasy.

“Yeah we’ll explain once we get to the District.” The cop replied hauling him out. As the other man came walking up to you.

“You find anything, feel like talking about anything, give me a call.” He explained handing you his card that read “Henry Voight.” He kept his eyes on you as if he knew. You didn’t have any bruises in plain sight, but somehow you felt like he knew. You nodded thanking him as he walked out. You didn’t know what to feel in that moment. You felt guilty but also felt a huge sense of safety and relief that you hadn’t felt in a very long time. This was it. You were going to get out. You were going to pack your things and once you left for work in the morning that was it. You weren’t going to come back. In case he somehow got out of it. That was up until Lucas came storming back in the door a few hours later. You had dropped the cup you held in your hand in surprise, shattering loudly once it hit the floor.

“Lucas! What are you-” You began before he came over to you slapping you hard no hesitation in his movements this time as he usually did. You whimpered slightly knowing it was coming, but still feeling the pain.

“Seriously [Y/N]? Why would you let them in?!” He yelled backing you against the counter.

“They had a warrant I-” You tried to explain.

“Then don’t fucking answer the door!” He screamed slapping you again. It was then that you realized you had no choice, but to stand up to him.

“Why the fuck were they here in the first place?” You asked harshly, but immediately regretted your decision as it just fueled his anger. Shock came over his face at you fighting back, but it was quickly replaced with rage.

“You’re going to start accusing me now? It’s none of your business.” He growled hitting you in the abdomen where there were already bruises making you double over.

“I live here it is my business.” You spat back not able to stop your anger from coming out. “Lucas! Stop it! Please!” You begged tears running down your face as he just continued to take his anger out on you.

“You’re such a bitch. What makes you think you can talk back to me?” He yelled hitting harder. At this point you were getting lightheaded and fearing for your life more than ever before. You summoned all the strength you had kicking him in the groin, giving you enough time to bolt off towards the bathroom locking it quickly. You pulled out your phone along with the card still in your pocket dialing the number.

“Voight.” You heard on the other end of the phone after two rings.

“Please help me.” You cried through the pain.

“[Y/N]? Where are you? What’s going on?” He asked quickly. How he knew it was you, you had no idea, but you were so glad.

“I’m in the bathroom. Lucas...he’s flipping out..I’m in so much pain..” You explained through ragged breaths. You figured Voight could hear the threats from Lucas coming from outside the door.

“I’m on my way. Hold tight. Stay on the phone with me.” He explained trying to keep you talking. You could hear the sirens from his car in the background.

“If he finds the bags..” You whispered, knowing  he would lose it even more if he found you had packed your bags.

“We’re almost there. You’re going to be okay.” He promised asking you questions trying to distract you from the situation as Lucas pounded at the door. You silently prayed knowing that the door could only handle so much before it gave in. Finally the line went dead just as you heard warnings of the Chicago PD coming in. You could hear Lucas screaming and fighting against them, the sounds getting farther away before it went silent. You sat scared, anticipation making your heart beat even faster before you heard a quiet knock, “[Y/N]?” You heard from outside the door, recognizing it as the man’s voice from the phone and earlier that day. You crawled over closer to the door not able to stand unlocking it turning the knob to see him standing in the doorway. He immediately dropped to his knees down to where you lay. He looked at you for permission before lifting your shirt up to reveal your abdomen covered in bruises. He tried to keep a straight face, but you could see him wince bringing his fingers up to touch it making you cry out in pain at even the slightest touch. “The paramedics are on their way.” He assured pulling your shirt back down. You couldn’t help it as a sob made its way out, completely breaking down. He sighed pulling you into his chest letting you cry. The fact that he was a complete stranger earlier that day and now you lay here sobbing in his chest didn’t even cross your mind. All you knew was that for the first time in over a year you felt safe, and as he rubbed your back promising that you would be okay and he would protect you over and over again in your ear you let yourself relax into his arms until the paramedics arrived. They had taken you to Chicago Med where it seemed like they ran a million tests. Luckily you weren’t suffering from any internal bleeding even though it sure as hell felt like it. You had a few broken ribs, a concussion, and a dislocated shoulder, but other than that it was pretty much bruises. You were laying in bed looking through a magazine whenever you heard someone clear their throat. You looked over to see Voight standing in the door. You set the magazine down smiling, turning your attention to him as he came to sit beside you.

“Think the jackass will pay my medical bills?” You joked making him chuckle. His laugh made a shiver crawl up your spine in a good way.

“I think where he is going he won’t have to worry about paying for things for a while.” He answered.

“You knew.” You stated matter of factly.

“I did.” He admitted leaning up closer to you.

“Why didn’t you do something? Why’d you let him come back?” You asked looking away from him.

“I didn’t have a choice. We didn’t have enough on him, he wouldn’t talk. We knew he was stupid enough to run back and call his supplier. Which he did, and we needed that. I was hoping you had gotten out already.” He explained. You nodded your head understanding. “He’s not going to hurt you ever again.” He promised.

“How do you know that?” You asked sighing.

“I won’t let him.” He shrugged leaning back again. You couldn’t help the smile that formed at your face at his statement. You hadn’t even known him for 24 hours, but somehow you knew he wasn’t lying. That his promises were not empty like Lucas’s had been.

A/N: This is my first Voight imagine so hopefully you all like!

The pregnancy came as a surprise. Like a huge surprise. Luckily you were prepared for something as big as this, and Hank was ecstatic. You worked at the front desk of intelligence which is how you met Hank. Your relationship definitely had a weird start and progression, but it isn’t anything you would ever want to change. Yes, he was older than you, but you never had a problem with that, and it never made an impact on your relationship. As serious and risky as Hank can be on the job he was the opposite when it came to you. Completely loving and romantic. Making sure you were always okay. Taking care of you in every way, and even more so after you found out you were pregnant. You were getting bigger by the day, and your self esteem was dropping right along with it. However, Voight always assured you of how beautiful you were. Obviously he’s very overprotective of anyone he cares about. None the less when it comes to his family. So, whenever you started receiving the random calls and letters of threats you didn’t want to tell him. It didn’t bother you much at first. You knew Hank had a lot of people on his bad side, and you just figured they were trying to get a reaction out of him or they were trying to distract him for whatever reasoning knowing he would drop everything to hunt them down. However, whenever the letters and calls became more frequent you started to get a little anxious and the tipping point hit whenever the latest letter had threatened the life of your baby. You knew you had to talk to someone. Get someone else’s opinion to assure you that you were just starting to overreact, but you needed it to be someone that wasn’t going to go crazy. Someone that would be level headed unlike Voight or even Erin. So, you had decided on Antonio. You had thought about going to Jay but you didn’t want to get him in trouble with Erin if she ever found out so you went with your next best option.

“Hey Antonio can I talk to you about something real quick?” You whispered as you stood in front of his desk. He threw you a weird look before nodding and heading towards the break room for you to follow. Once inside you made sure the door was closed not wanting anyone to hear or walk in on the conversation.

“What’s wrong?” He asked clearly worried. You pulled the latest letter out of your back pocket laying it on the table.

“So, I just need you to stay level headed with me okay? That’s why I came to you.” You began as he went to reach for the paper. “I’ve been getting these and a few random calls here at the district for the past couple months. At first I just didn’t think anything of it, but they’ve become more frequent and as you can see they mention the baby in that last one there which is why I felt the need to finally do something.” You explained protectively laying your hand on your stomach as Antonio read over the note.

“Voight doesn’t know?” Antonio asked even though he already knew the answer. You looked at him sheepishly not answering. He sighed running a hand through his hair. “You have to tell him.” He stated.

“What? No, Antonio I can’t. He’ll lose his shit.” You whined.

“I know, but we need to do something about this [Y/N]. Whether this is a joke or not it needs to be taken care of, and we both know I can’t do it myself. He’ll find out. He always does. It’ll just be a bigger fight then. It’s not just about you. We need to keep that baby safe too.” Antonio explained reaching to squeeze your shoulder. You sighed heavily feeling defeated that your little plan got blown up so fast.

“Okay, but can you please just not let him do anything stupid.” You begged.

“I’ll try my hardest.” Antonio promised hugging you, but you already knew it was a lost cause. You told him you would talk to Voight tonight at his house where he was able to react “freely.” Taking the note from Antonio you folded it up sticking it back in your pocket before you both headed back out to your desks. Upon stepping out of the door everyone’s eyes immediately turned to you two.

“What?” You asked innocently ignoring Hank’s suspicious gaze on you as you practically waddled back to your desk. He threw you a look and you knew you would be getting questioned later as you rolled your eyes at him leaning back in your chair while they focused their attention back on the case they were working on. For being such a badass Hank got surprisingly jealous quite easily and you got that vibe from him the rest of the day. You were supposed to leave before him as Erin offered you a ride home, but you politely declined deciding to wait for him to be done to go back to his place. You were in the process of moving in and you did not want to be surrounded by all the boxes you still had left to unpack. Just about everyone was gone as you walked into Hank’s office making yourself comfy in the chair across from him. He looked up from his computer raising an eyebrow at you.

“I thought you went home?” His gravelly voice echoed in the room.

“Decided to wait for you.” You shrugged picking up the bowl of M&Ms he had on his desk popping a few in your mouth. He looked at you amusement on his face for a second before it returned to a glare.

“Antonio didn’t offer you to come back to his place?” He asked accusingly looking back down at the papers on his desk.

“Excuse me?” You replied annoyance in your voice.

“What were you doing in the break room with him earlier?” He asked continuing not to look at you. “Stop picking just the green ones out. They all taste the same.” He lectured laughing a little as he watched you dig through the bowl in your hand.

“Having sex obviously. Right where everyone could walk in. Adds to the risk I guess.” You answered sarcastically as he looked up at you rolling his eyes. “Why do you get so jealous?” You asked propping your feet up on his desk.

“Because…I… because.. can you just answer the original question?” He huffed as his cheeks turned a light shade of pink. You knew he was insecure about the age difference, but he always refused to admit it. No matter how many times your reassured him.

“I wanted to wait till we got home to talk about this.” You mumbled sitting up straight and putting the bowl back on his desk.

“Just tell me.” He huffed.

“Okay, but you have to promise not to go all psycho.” You groaned as he just continued to stare at you not promising anything. You rolled your eyes leaning up to pull the letter out of your pocket handing it to him. He looked confused before taking it and reading it. The further he got the more anger took over his body.

“What the hell [Y/N]?! What is this!” He yelled making you flinch a little. You went on to explain everything. Which just made him even more angry if that was even possible. He pulled his phone out quickly.

“What are you doing?” You asked.

“Calling everyone back in here.” He stated putting the phone to his ear. You quickly snatched it from his hand ending the call to Erin.

“No. You are not calling everyone back in here. It’s their night off. Let them be.” You lectured holding the phone away from him.

“This guy is not only threatening you but our baby [Y/N]. Do you not get that.” He retorted.

“I do. But waiting until tomorrow is not going to change a thing Hank.” You crossed your arms across your chest.

“You’re not leaving my sight.” He growled.

“Wasn’t planning on it.” You walked around his desk to kiss his cheek. He finished up the rest of his work before you guys headed home. Whenever he said you weren’t leaving his sight he wasn’t kidding. It was like he had to have eyes on you the entire time. Tension was clear in his body as you drifted off to sleep in his arms. The next morning he woke you up before your alarm went off. You groaned stuffing your face in your pillow.

“Come on honey. I called everyone they are coming in early.” He rubbed your back trying to get you up. You huffed slightly annoyed that he was waking you up early as well as the fact that he called everyone in early. Eventually you had arrived at the district. Greeting Trudy on your way up the stairs. After everyone was there Hank informed them of the situation. They all turned to face you shock and worry written on their faces, except Antonio of course.

“Can you all not look at me like that?” You rolled your eyes. They wasted no time getting down to work, Hank continuously on everyone’s asses. When it came down to it they had traced the calls that came through the district back to a David Graham. Someone Hank had busted a while back and had just gotten out of prison. As you had expected. Everyone suited up getting ready to make the guy regret his every thought. “Hank...please just don’t do anything stupid.” You sighed hugging him. He nodded kissing your forehead then leaning down to kiss you stomach before everyone drove off. You went back to your desk catching up on some work as you waited for them all to get back. After about an hour you had went down to deliver paperwork to Trudy just in time to see Hank and Antonio carrying the guy in. David’s face covered in blood, cuts, and bruises. You weren’t surprised one bit, but you were just glad Hank didn’t kill the guy. You headed back up stairs as everyone else was scattered around. “How’d it go?” You asked Erin leaning against her desk.

“The guy is lucky he’s alive. That’s all I have to say.” Erin answered smiling a little. You shook your head walking over to your desk as Hank walked up the stairs. He smiled walking over to pull you into his arms.

“Well?” You asked looking up at him.

“My family is safe for another day.” He sighed laying his hand on your stomach.

“Didn’t go crazy or anything did you?” You raised an eyebrow.

“The guy’s still alive. That was your only request.” He answered shrugging.
