Secret Diary of a Call Girl - S1-S3

Billie Piper brainrot is making me watch everything in her filmography and currently I've been watching "Secret Diary of a Call Girl", and it's genuinely a great show so far! Yesterday I finished season 3 and what a ride!

It's such a fun and funny show - I did catch myself bursting out laughing quite a few times -, with some very intense and deep moments, it made me reflect about so many things that I'd never tought about, for example, when it comes to the escorts; how the job is done, its logistics and necessary care. It's also a very sex positive show - and it also has some great body positive moments. Sex can be fun, it can be funny and light, sensual and kinky. What best suits you.

Hannah is a great protagonist, Billie Piper totally crushes it! I LOVE the break of the fouth wall, and the editing of the show makes it even funnier (sorry, but as an editor I HAD to talk about it). I love the differences between Hannah and Belle; Hannah is more contained, clumsy and funny, whilst Belle is more like a femme fatale - assertive, sexy and glamorous. Also how this double life collides, how she gets lost in herself.

Season 1 was really iconic, but the addition of Bambi in season 2 made it even better for me, I had missed some girl friends for Hannah, the first one was too male-centered for my taste - still an amazing season tho. I was so happy that Bambi found love and that the obstacles in the way didn't ruin her friendship with Hannah/Belle. I love how they support and can count on each other.

I'm not a big fan of Jackie. At all. Specially when she installed herself at Hannah's, punched her to the point Hannah was actually bruised and as if it weren't enough, she started fucking and dating Ben... her sister's ex-boyfriend and best mate. Annoying, invasive and disrespectful af.

It breaks my heart that the two man Hannah fell in love with (Alex and Duncan) either judged her and couldn't see past Belle, once they knew about her job, or took advantage of it in such a disonest way - reinforcing her belief that she was simply just one more whore to them. Ben seems like the best option right now, but I'll still find out in season 4.

I'm curious to know what season 4 brings to the table.
