Bit of a silly slice-of-life moment where Thomas would dress up as a scientist, after he discovered his father’s lab coat…! 😂 All he just needs is Hans’s lab coat and Wilhelm’s glasses. Next time those two items go missing suddenly, they’ll know where to search first…! 😂

New Headcanon for Olga! - She’s the only member in the family, who’s not a scientist. Hans and Wilhelm are Professors, Abi is a Lab Researcher, Olga never had an interest in the field. Instead, she’s more interested in fashion designing. So much that she even designs & makes her own dresses…! 😮

Hewwo folks, sorry for my radio silence, this is the last week of my semester, im need to focus on it for a bit, but whatever, here's the info of Owen Routh (and couple other characters from shed 17) in my AU!!!

Originally i planned to add him for the sake of stupid joke where Topham got sick and instead of normal doctor they accidentally invited crazy ass kinologist, but after some posts from rainre, I decided to change it.

Now Owen is one of the doctors who gave Keith Hartley lobotomia many years ago. At start he genuinely believed that he actually "cure" his patients with this operation, he even been kind of jealous to them due to how "happy" they looked to him.

But as the times goes Owen realized that he didn't cure them at all, instead, he litteraly ripped of their souls and make them suffer slow death & degradation of their own brain. Routh deeply hate himself for being blind on the consequences of his actions and what he done to this people, especially to Hartley, since he has to cross paths with him every morning at the station, and Owen saw in real time how Keith was changing.

He physically can't stare at him (Keith) because of the constant reminder of what he had turned him & some others people into. (Honestly I didn't come up with his whole personality yet, but I can say he's kinda seen weird to people & also a big nerd).

Overall, his role in the story not that significant as the other characters, but it's still very impactful i think. (Also, after some research I'm now can fully stated that the events of this AU happen in 1960s, Hartley is canonicaly in his 30s here (Owen gave him lobotomy when he was 17 years old btw)) .

Now about Hans & Thomas Götze, (yes, human Thomas exists along with engine Thomas there), there are not so many differences in character between their original inspirations, and they unfortunately more like a side characters since I have many troubles in trying to fit them into plot, but here's some things I think you should know about them:

1. Hans in this AU are teacher of biology and botany for Grammar School (It's elite type of school where children who passed "11+" exam (around 15-20%) were prepared for the high-level exams (Also known as "GCE O-level" & "GCE A-level" exams) to enter prestigious universities).

2. Thomas is adopted due to the fact that Hans was found to be infertile. He doesn't know he is adopted at all, and on every question why he's parents both blonde while he is black haired, he simply responds that he got it from his grandpa. Also, this lil folk is running around with other lil folks instead of being dead.

Alright, so I've just read the most recent submissions here (not counting the Roly one cause I wrote that lol) by @aesseater69 and @electricfiedsteamtoaster1968 AND MY GOD ARE YOU GUYS MIND READERS?? Let me just geek out and try to add my own ideas onto your hcs right now because lord I did not expect them to match the ones I was making up in my head lmao

Owen-centric headcanons:

Headcanon 1: A total neat freak and perfectionist, the "organized desk, messy closet" variation to be exact. Anything he considers to be important or something he's supposed to be good at should be neat, tidy, and perfect. The man will definitely go apeshit if things don't work out the way he wants them to and overwork himself until he can perfect them all/have everything under control (He was a "gifted kid" when he was little).

Headcanon 2: He has a resting bitch face and struggles to express/communicate his emotions, which made it hard for him to get on with his peers back in his younger years, resulting in him having a really small inner circle.

Headcanon 3: Owen often isolates himself (or only works with those he trusts) in his office/lab to work on his projects. When he's focused on something, you know his social life and basic bodily needs will be thrown out of the window.

Headcanon 4: Coffee addict? Absolutely. Caffeine crashes are a daily occurance for him.

Headcanon 5: Usually the voice of reason, but poor emotional regulation/anger management.

Headcanon 6: He and Keith have bonded over arguements, insults, and constant back-and-forths ever since they first met in the late 50s/early 60s. A day would feel off for Owen if he didn't have an overworked engine fireman to pick on and criticize.

Headcanon 7: I can absolutely see him being so pale that you can see his entire circulatory system lmao. (Speaking from my experience as a very pale person myself btw)

Headcanon 8: Book smart.

Headcanon 9: Looks older than he actually is.

Keith-centric headcanons:

Headcanon 1: He definitely loves wearing hats. As a firm Keith-is-a-beatlemaniac believer, I'd like to imagine him wearing one of those beaten up fisherman John Lennon hats when he was in his 20s (if you don't know what I'm talking about, look up "John Lennon hat 1964"). Despite that, his fav Beatle would probably be Paul imo (he wouldn't shut up about that man once prompted). And yeah, I'm the dude who wrote the "I associate Til There Was You with Keith" headcanon :3

Headcanon 2: I've always imagined the guy having a bunch of brothers and only one sister lol. He'd felt alienated from his brothers and could only connect with his sister. I'd also like to think that a brother of his was one of the workers who froze to death in The Flying Kipper crash (their family probably has a long line of railway workers and engineers tbh).

Headcanon 3: I also hc his wife as Slavic!! (Croatian)

Headcanon 4: Keith is a picky AND fast eater. He's a terrible cook, but always gets the fries right because they're the only things he'd make for himself before he became a father. Also, based on "The Coin of Dispair" video from the Thomas Dreamy Misadventures series, the dude can inhale an entire tray of them with little to no chewing (the only thing preventing him from getting hospitalized is his fast metabolism). He and Jerry would always order fries and they both possess the ability to tell when they're cooked differently just by tasting them.

Headcanon 5: Has ADHD and Autism.

Headcanon 8: Wears the socks + sandals/slippers combo when he's at home.

(1) Owen absolutely does not meet his basic needs when he locks in. Hans definitely had to send him home once or twice, and Owen, of course, would fight him on it.

*cue Hans desperately begging Owen to go home and lie down, while Owen walks away saying he "He's fine" and that "He just needs more coffee" and Hans having to chase after him*

Definitely the voice of reason for some people, but he's always on the verge of crashing out, because people can be really stupid sometimes.

There's probably an old Christmas photo lying around somewhere in Keith's (or Owen's) house where they're smiling and/or laughing, and then it jumps to them having their 37585489th argument of the day, lol.

He's probably so pale that he could get a sunburn in the middle of winter😭😭😭

He'd be balding with white hair, and then his ID says he's 30 years old.

*Owen and Keith combining their different smarts only to make the predicament they're in worse somehow*

(2) Yeah, Keith being a Paul fan just fits him; the Beatle-tism just fits him. In my headcanon, his sister is the only one he talks to over the years, either because his brothers dying from accidents (like you headcanon-ed) or just losing/cutting off contact for one reason or another. (one of those could be related to his wife)

Before Sodorland was announced (like late 2020), I headcanon-ed his wife as African American or Japanese, and then, well, Sodorland was announced, and I went "There's no fucking way his mom is anything other than white..."

Bro could demolish an entire family sized thanksgiving meal and still eat dessert like it was NOTHING, and still ask if there were any leftovers, like no, bro, you ate it all💔.

But him being a picky eater is an interesting thought. I always saw him eating anything he could get his hands on since he had a lot of siblings growing up.

I think he masks his Audhd well enough for people not to question it, but for some people to still notice. He could be 60 and still look 30, lmao.

He probably had something close to a dad bod, and then his mental health declined post-biofusion, and from all the stress and vomiting, he became underweight.
