Another odd one. He had seen many strange people since taking up the mantle as ‘Kenpei Banchou’ and meeting other ‘banchou’ like him, but the people in this city kept surpassing his expectations. Wild, unruly hair, dressed in rags, but most surprisingly this person possessed a tail.
Now, he had seen much bigger, and much stranger things before. Things such as a gigantic shark in a uniform, but something this subtle? Never before. It was always all or nothing. He had gotten so used to extravagant or exaggerated appearances that someone just a little off the actual ‘norm’ seemed strange to him.
He didn’t intend to look at this individual for a long period of time and yet he had still done so. Getting people to be suspicious of him was inadvisable when one didn’t know what they were up against. What a dumb mistake to make, was he getting careless? Oh well. Perhaps initiating conversation with an apology would grant him an opportunity to learn more.
“My apologies for staring at you like that.”
He spoke sincerely while nodding his head. Questions will come later, he’ll wait and see how this person will react to him. Though he didn’t think it would be that bad, this guy seemed like a good person.
