We pre-tie these himo pairs in decorative square knots and add contemporary clasps to make it easier to attach to your haori. These lovely decorative ties can be found on many vintage women's haori jackets. They are created on a special loom with a macrame or braiding technique, see video below. Typically six to seven inches long. They might be flat or rounded, soft or stiff, and often have a tasseled end -- but sometimes something uniquely different. Modern uses include bookmarks, zipper pulls, key chains, and more!
