HAP BIRF TO @dragoonofdawn!!! I don't pose it that much in recent times BUT Hazel is canonically in training to become a Dragoon! In the Reg!Hazel timeline, anyway. It's actually why she lives in Ishgard to begin with, staying at the estate of her mentor @iron-sparrow's Lia. It's harsh training at first, but Hazel is used to that thanks to her own upbringing and so eventually graduates to becoming a full-fledged Dragoon in her own right! ...When exactly that is remains to be written out BUT it will happen. Someday.
