Taskmaster S17E03 Intro, part 2 [part 1]
Image search help request:
I realized that my favorite image of Greg Lestrade is how happy he looks when he says “it’s all sorted” at the Baker Street Christmas party in A Scandal in Belgravia. Before Sherlock tells him his wife is cheating and ruins things.
I couldn’t find a picture or gif of that moment, and I’m too lazy to pull the DVDs and scan for it. Anyone have it out there, please?
Spur of the Moment
For the @mystradepromptchallenge
Your dialogue: "What were you thinking?"
The circumstances... late at night
And you must use the word... grab
Date night.
Walking home from a lovely dinner at another posh restaurant, feeling a bit cheeky, I notice a dark alley coming up. I take Greg by surprise by grabbing his arm and pulling him into the shadows. Pressing him up against the wall I grab his shoulders, forcefully press my lips against his before he can utter a word. He stiffens in surprise, then melts into the kiss, giving as good as he gets.
A few minutes later, breathless, he asks "What were you thinking? This isn't exactly your style Posh! Not that I'm complaining, just wondering." He looks pleasantly surprised, but incredibly happy.
"Hmm, spur of the moment Darling. You looked so dashing in the moonlight I couldn't help myself" I purr into his ear, continuing my kisses down his neck, feeling a little reckless in light of the full moon.
"Mmmm, well don't let me stop you Love. Ooohh please don't stop" He murmurs, steadily breathing heavier as I proceed to my favourite spot, where his neck meets his shoulder. Why it's my favourite is because of the reaction it gets me, "OH GOD! Myc, babe PLEASE!"
"Shhhh Greg dear, people will hear you." I quirk my lips into a delighted smirk, knowing he can't stay quiet when I do that. Which is why I do it again with glee.
"Ooooohhhh Mmmmmmm"

A Horrible Evening
I cannot believe that Gregory kept to his word this evening. I thought that I had somehow managed to get out of not going but sure as hell that he managed to drag me out tonight.
Where I hear you ask? Allow me to tell you. I found myself surrounded by fifty nine thousand supporters at the Emirates Arena watching Arsenal play Leicester City.
It was absolutely horrific. How anyone can stand or sit for forty five minutes each way watching twenty two men run around a pitch scoring goals is beyond me. I would rather be home, reading a book than standind out there in the freezing cold watching this diabolical sport.
What surprised me was the usual calm and relaxing demeanour from my dearest Gregory was evidently thrown out the proverbal window tonight. I stood in amazement as he yelled, cheered, booed and cursed throughout the game as his team comfortably beat the other team three - one. I must tell you this now. I do not know how on earth this man can be so sweet and adorable one minute and then almost like a football hooligan the next. I am still in awe now and I have been home for little less than an hour.
I genuinely am still sitting here trying to actually process my evening whilst Gregory is getting changed. I know this post is rather short to what my usual posts are but tonight I am honest stuck for words. I should really get settled as I have work in the morning. I need time to process this.
Til then. Good evening.

A Convention Adventure with Lestrade: Dr. Horrible is Here!
"Excuse me!" A voice called to the inspector. "Captain Hammer!" Lestrade paused, looking around. "Captain Hammer! Please wait!"
A little girl ran up to the inspector and tugged on his shirt. She grinned up at him happily once she got his attention. Lestrade cast a glance about to see what the others were doing.
Castiel and Dean were with Charlie, looking at some posters and other wares. Charlie seemed to be having a good time. Dean also seemed to be enjoying himself and Greg couldn't tell if Cas was enjoying himself or not. The little girl waited patiently at his feet.
Lestrade knelt down next to her curiously. "Hello, little girl. Where are your parents?" Lestrade glanced up, searching for the child's parents or siblings.
"Over there, do you want to meet them?" The little one asked cheerily.
Lestrade hesitated but figured it wouldn't hurt to tag along. Charlie and the others were busy anyway. He nodded with a small smile and followed the little girl to another room.
The little girl bobbed around legs, her scientist coat fluttering behind her. He noticed that she was also wearing a pair of black goggles on her head. Was this little girl cosplaying Dr. Horrible?
"Mummy!" The little Dr. Horrible ran up to a woman wearing a red wig and gave her a hug. "I found a Captain Hammer!"
They weren't exactly rare, but Lestrade didn't say anything to that effect. He waved hesitantly and wondered if he should suggest that the little one not talk to strangers.
"Now I have to defeat him!" The little Horrible proclaimed. "To protect my Penny Mummy from Captain Hammer and impress Bad Horsie!"
Lestrade would have choked if he was drinking anything at the time. "Penny" laughed nervously, but Lestrade didn't mind.
"Sophie, dearest, the nice man might not want to play pretend right now..."
"But he's all dressed up like Captain Hammer!"
"It's alright, Miss Penny." He stood up a little straighter, paused, and then spoke a bit uncertainly. "Captain Hammer is here to save you from the... terrible Dr. Horrible!" His words were halting as he struggled to find words on the spot, but he tried to sound heroic as he did it.
The woman's eyes widened and she smiled softly at Lestrade. Sophie needed no further invitation to start playing pretend. She pulled out a squirt gun and squirted Greg in the face once, twice, three times.
"This is my death ray, Captain Hammer! Now I can get into the Evil League of Evil and give Penny Australia!"
The expression on the detective's face was surprise followed by a realization of what she was trying to do, and an expression of mock horror. Casting a quick glance around to make sure no one else was watching, he dropped to the ground and groaned softly.
"Ohhh, you have defeated me, Dr. Horrible! I shall never battle you for Penny again!" Lestrade closed his eyes to pretend to be dead.
The little girl laughed, clapped, and hopped up and down in glee. "I defeated Captain Hammer!"
Just as Lestrade opened his eyes, several flashes of light blinded him. He threw his hands up to cover his eyes with a soft yelp. The blood in his veins went cold with fear. Then, a wetness splashed his face again, urging him to open his eyes again. The little girl was posing next to him and occasionally squirting water in his face to make sure he was "dead" for the photographs.
Lestrade sat up after a moment and reached out to offer the little girl a handshake. "How about a truce, mighty Dr. Horrible?"
Sophie smile and nodded, shaking his hand with her free one.
"Penny" and Sophie posed together with Lestrade for several small group photographs. Lestrade excused himself after a few more photographs before explaining that he had friends that would be worried about him. Giving the young mother a handshake, Lestrade left while pocketing one of the instant photographs of him being shot at by "Dr. Horrible" with the water gun.
"Hey, Greg! Where were you?" Charlie asked when he found his way back to the group.
"Oh, nowhere important. Did you find anything you wanted?"
