Healthy, Active and Occasionally Drunk
Holly here. So, how are you all? I don’t quite not what to say, how do you start your first blog post. hmm maybe i’ll go back to basic. The 4 ‘W’s’ : ‘What, When, Why and Who’. Is that Lame? I well, it’s my blog not yours.
I thought i’d try blogging, as you can see. Ok, i’ll get straight into this. I’m 20, a student, and I am in the midst of a ‘lifestyle change” I’m actually not failing epic-ally, just a bit stuck. Since last April I have lost around 2st 4 (loosely). I say loosely because of the BIG A. Alcohol. After coming back to uni in September I was a woman on a mission and loved the compliments I got. I felt a new wave of confidence and could wear clothes I loved, it felt good, very good. However, my aim was to tone up and lose another stone. Unfortunately my plans have not quite worked out. I am ‘yoyoing’ between around 7 pounds due to alcoholic consumption and not going down. Therefore, if I was to actually come back to my what question, i would answer like so: this blog is a record of healthy food that i cook up and love, a blog of my gym regimes (wow, i sound so professional ‘gym regimes’), and my utter self loathing for my consummation of alcohol.
Simple ‘W’ whenever I fancy. Weekly, maybe daily. Maybe crying into a bag of M&M’S. You get it.
Firstly, because I want to take a new turn on my diet. I generally eat well, and when instructed to cook up a meal with just protein and veg, I can be pretty awesome if I say so myself. However, it’s when the craving comes in after the alcohol consumption. It is like treacle treaters on Halloween, pestering creatures squawking for sugar. So I will aim to put this under control, and (hoepfully) exemplify healthy sugar free alternatives on here. Also, I know the pain of going home after a semester and seeing your friends and saying ‘have I put on weight’ and they stare and you and say with a forced grin ‘urm..no no, you look fine’…fake bitches. We all know the student struggles though, and I aim to push past this, and impact on a healthy lifestyle for all, without cutting out all the fun, ie, fun meaning getting white girl wasted. I’m kidding just drunk.
I have previously referred to students, but really just anyone. I honestly have succeeded so far in loosing weight through clean eating and a diet (which I will go into more depth in) another time. And it has been great, and enjoyable, and some meals I make are rather top notch.
Anyways, yeah that’s may first post. I don’t really know what to say now, follow me? Do you follow on here? I dunno, I’ll have an explore in a sec, but yeah follow, subscribe, add I dunno, whatever it is, and if you’re cool enough (cause i’m just sooo coooool…) I may whatever you back.
