i just saw comments on a Hard Boiled gifset saying it was an "atrocious" or otherwise bad movie and im fucking FLOORED. Hard Boiled. John Woo. Chow Yun-Fat. This and other John Woo movies were DRIPPING with style and influenced SO SO many directors including the Wachowskis. The Matrix lobby scene is practically a love letter to John Woo movies.

Please for the love of crom if you havent seen Hard Boiled (and you like bloody action movies, ngl it's violent but that's the point) queue that shit up to watch at your earliest convenience. Sit down and WATCH it dont put it on in the background. It's a physical effect and stuntwork masterpiece. It's famous one-take "hallway scene" is often cited as an example when talking about camera work.

Subs not dubs. It's criminally underrated on imdb, rotten tomatoes once again correct.
