This kind of comfort makes her want more. She almost forgets about the game, for a moment.

The sour air in your voice and on your features seems to be gone now, so she figures the atmosphere is just as calming for you. Though she did enjoy seeing that look on your face… Your genuine, soft smile is one she enjoys a little bit more.

you were new to the area, having just moved to this town. you had no family or friends, and found yourself often wondering why you moved here in the first place. as you walked through the forest you thought about your options, things couldn’t go back to the way they were but you were by yourself with no ideas on how to make friends here.

he had long, curly brown hair and sharp eyes. his voice was bubbly and happy when he spoke “thank you for helping me, they would’ve caught me if you hadn’t been there,” he sighed “then they would turn me into someone’s scarf or something.” he scowled. “you’re welcome, i’m glad i could help you.” you were kind of stunned by how pretty he was, and when he smiled you nearly passed out. “my name is Harin! what’s your name?” he asked excitedly, “i’m y/n, nice to meet you Harin. i should be going now though, i don’t want to draw attention to you.” he frowned, stepping closer to you. “but… i don’t want you to go! it’s lonely here in the forest, i’m the only hybrid and there’s no one to talk to,” he pouted, before a mischievous smile appeared on his face, “i could go with you! that way you can keep me safe and i can keep you company!” he nodded to himself.

that is how you ended up with a fox hybrid running around your house, Harin is sometimes a handful but you still love him. he became your best friend, your partner and your safe place. the only thing is, is that he’s a wild hybrid. sometimes you come home from work and he got a little too into his playtime, pillows were torn up and their feathers were scattered all over your apartment.

and still you loved him, he loved you just as much. you keep him safe, you protect him and feed him. he never has to worry about when his next meal will be with you by his side. Harin stayed inside most of the time, you had seen the trappers around town still looking for Harin. he was a rare hybrid, and worth a lot for his fur, you had both decided he would be safer staying inside. although occasionally you would take him to the forest to play and run free.

even if he disappeared in the forest for awhile, he would always come back to you. sometimes he wouldn’t come back for hours and every time you would have a panic attack, thinking maybe he had been caught. but he would come back eventually, tired out from running through the forest all day. on those days he would curl up in your bag on the way home, sleeping peacefully until you placed him on his bed.

You can’t remember where your initial fear of loud noises came from. Maybe it was the thunderstorms when you were little, or the way the kids in your class used to unexpectedly bang on their desks, but even into your adulthood, loud noises brought feelings of fear along with them.

This situation wasn’t always the best, especially when your boyfriend was the drummer for a band. You didn’t listen to them practice and you very rarely went to any of their performances. Harin promised you that it was alright, but you couldn’t help but feel extremely upset at the fact you couldn’t support your boyfriend in the way that you wanted to.

It was the one thing that kept you up at night, making it impossible for you to rest even in the warm embrace of your boyfriend. Harin had always been there for you, no matter what. He let you practice pitches in front of him, brainstormed ideas when your brain just wasn’t quite working, and always brought you coffee on days when work was just a little more strenuous. However, you could barely even go visit him at RBW due to the nature of his job. 

It was after a night just like that that you sat on your couch, fiddling with your fingers after Harin left to go to work. You were listening to some of ONEWE’s music, before you took your phone out to scroll through your twitter. As usual, your feed was full of photos of your boyfriend and his band, along with videos from their concert that they had not too long ago. 

You felt yourself frown as you watched the video of your boyfriend playing his drums, a smile on his face that could only be brought on from doing the thing that he loved most. Today, more than other days, it was eating at your heart that you never got to witness your boyfriend in the environment he loved so much. You never saw him glowing with sweat in person as he twirled his drumsticks on his fingers, a smirk on his face as if he knew he was the most attractive person. After all, even when you did manage to hype yourself up to go to their concerts, you always stayed backstage, watching on the TVs that were available for the sake of your nerves and your fear.

Your eyebrows furrowed and you grew more and more frustrated as you stared at your phone screen. How come you couldn’t get it together and support your boyfriend in the one thing he loved most? You stood up, shoving your phone in your pocket, before heading out of your apartment with determination in your eyes and heart.

It wasn’t until you found yourself outside of Harin and Kanghyun’s shared studio that you started to have second thoughts about what you were doing. You were nowhere near prepared to deal with the loud noises of a drum first hand… maybe it would be best if you left now and took it step by step. 

You were about to turn around when the door flung open and you were met with Hyungu staring at you with a startled expression. His body relaxed as he realized it was you, giving you a small smile as he swept some of his blond hair out of his face.

“Hi, Y/N. Harin, Y/N’s here!” Hyungu exclaimed, leaning back slightly. He gave you a small nod as he slipped past you and into the hallway. You guessed there was no going back now, as you walked cautiously into the room. Harin was already moving to greet you, a happy smile on his face masking the confusion he was feeling.

“Babe! I didn’t know you were gonna come over today, not that I don’t want you here! It’s a nice surprise, is all. Come on, let me grab my jacket and I can take you out for lunch!” Harin rambled, before turning around. Your hand reached out and wrapped around his wrist, tugging him lightly to turn back to you.

“I was actually wondering if you’d be willing to show me your drums,” you muttered, feeling incredibly embarrassed all of a sudden. Harin had seen you at both your highs and lows, but for some reason the thought of Harin seeing you so spooked over something so small made you shrink in fear. Harin’s eyes immediately softened as he walked over to you, raising your face to look at him.

“Are you sure, baby? I know you don’t like loud noises and I don’t want you to get scared.” His voice was low and soft, comforting you in the best way possible. You let yourself smile lightly, before nodding and slipping your jacket off.

“I’m sure.” Harin nodded at your statement, before leading you behind his sound barrier to where his drum kit sat. You stared at it in fascination, eyes taking in every single part of Harin’s prized possession. 

“Come on, let me introduce you to my drums,” Harin said, causing you to laugh lightly. He sat down on his stool, before spreading his legs and patting the space that was left vacant in front of him. Your cheeks heated up as you realized what he wanted, and you slowly walked over and made yourself comfortable in Harin’s lap.

“Now, all of these different drums and cymbals have a different purpose. They all make a different sound and most make multiple different sounds depending on how you hit them…” Harin began explaining every single thing he could to you while you listened with eagerness. He was thorough with his explanations, answering any questions that you had with a smile and a kiss to your cheek for asking such a good question.

“And they all come together to create something magical. Do you want to hear?” Harin’s voice was cautious, knowing that this was the part of the drums that you were not fond of. You took a deep breath, determined to at least try and listen to Harin’s skills, before nodding. Harin noticed your nerves and wrapped his arms around your middle, giving you a soft squeeze. It was far more comforting than you thought it would be, and you felt your heartbeat slow slightly as Harin grabbed his drumsticks from his desk.

His arms looped around you and he rested his chin on your shoulder so he could see what he was doing, making sure to give you a warning he was about to start, before he began playing the rhythm line to 0&4 for you.

The initial loudness of the drums caused you to flinch a little bit, but after that you found yourself entranced with the movement of Harin’s hands and the sounds coming from the drums in front of you. Your eyes watched with curiosity as Harin’s drumsticks moved from drum to drum with ease and his foot tapped the bass drum pedal to create a low thumping sensation that you could feel in your feet and in your chest.

As Harin finished his short demo, all you could do was stare at how beautiful he looked playing and how much you adored the sound of him playing. It was your first time seeing him play live, and even though it was just a little demo of a song, you could feel your heart bursting with joy at the thought of getting to see him do that again.

Despite the confusion that swirled in your brain at your lack of fear towards the loud instrument, you knew already what had made the noise so bearable. Having Harin right by you, holding you and letting you know everything would be okay was the remedy to your problem. It wasn’t a permanent solution, but it was a start and that was more than enough for you.

“How are you feeling?” Harin’s words brought you back to reality and you turned your body to stare at him. He was looking at you with worried eyes, his eyebrows furrowed like he was trying to solve the puzzle of your emotions. All his worry dissipated when you smiled warmly.

“I have never felt so safe before. At least not around such a loud object,” you admitted. Harin felt his heart pound at your admission and he couldn’t help but give you a light peck on the lips. The kiss was brief but everything you needed to say was said in the few seconds you were connected; Harin expressing his happiness at getting to share his music with you and you expressing your thankfulness for him being your comfort. You smiled against his chapped mouth, before pulling back and turning around so you were facing the drum kit once more. 

“Well, I think the only logical next step is for you to teach me how to play,” you said, a determined glint in your eye. Harin laughed from behind you, his heart full and warm at your eagerness to try out his instrument.

“Whatever you say, baby,” he replied, before handing you the drumsticks, placing his large hands over yours, and beginning your first, but not last, lesson on how to conquer the thing that you had once feared.

Soulmate AU

A/N: It’s my first time writing a soulmate au so bear with me. This took a bit long to write but i hope you enjoy it nonetheless! This one ended up being a long one haha 😅

Yonghoon: The first words you hear your soulmate say it tattooed on your wrist and disappear only once they’ve said them to you

“when will you finally appear” the words etched on his skin. He’s memorized them by now. He was glad it wasn’t super ambiguous but he’s tired of waiting for his soulmate to show up. 

He walked into band practice and when he saw Giuk pick up the bass, the words that were on his wrist were gone. “I guess you met your soulmate” he pointed to Giuk’s wrist

The boy smiled and nodded, “yup, just earlier. what about you? no luck yet?”

Yonghoon shook his head, he couldn’t wait for this day to be over. Every one except him seemed to be finding their soulmate. At this point, he was sure that he didn’t have a soulmate but the words on his skin beg to differ. 

He walked into the convience store and saw someone sitting near the door, looking glum. She was staring at her wrist. ‘at least i’m no the only one whose soulmate didn’t appear yet’ he thought to himself. 

He bought some snacks and as he was on his way out he heard the girl mutter “when will you finally appear?” Yonghoon’s heart was beating, he glanced at his wrist, the words finally gone. 

He approached her, “still looking for your soulmate?” he asked 

The girl looked up at him with her eyes wide, she glanced at her wrist, the words that she was staring at a moment ago was no longer there. She pointed her finger at him “you-”

“I’m Yonghoon, nice to meet you!” he stretched out his hand for a handshake

“I’m Y/n, i guess we’re soulmates” you shake his hand still in shock. 

You both talked for a while before it got dark and headed your seperate ways but not before exchanging numbers, he wouldn’t let you slip away from him. Not after he finally found you. 

Harin: Your soulmate can hear all the lies you tell in advance 

“i’m late because there was lots of traffic.” Harin heard the 5th lie of the week. His soulmate had a knack for being tardy and always lied to cover it up. 

“Ah, i wonder what will happen this time” Harin thought out loud 

“Your soulmate will lie again?” Hyungu asked him

Harin nodded, “about why they’re late today” 

“at least you have heard something from your soulmate. My soulmate never lies, i don’t even know if they’re alive at this point” Hyungu pointed out 

Harin’s phone beeped. It was his mom, she had come to visit Harin and asked to meet him at the nearby coffee shop if he wasn’t too busy. “That’s my mom, i’ll get going now. Good luck with your soulmate” 

Harin walked to the coffee shop and saw his mom sitting at a table, he greeted his mom warmly with a hug and ordered coffee for the both of you. A girl walked into the coffee shop and his mom waved her over. 

“I’m late because there was lots of traffic. I’m sorry” the girl said breathless, greeting the both of you. 

Harin thought the words were familiar but didn’t think too much of the words since they were common. 

Harin greeted you politely and asked his mom, “who is she?”

“Oh, that’s my student. She volunteered to tutor some kids and I remembered you saying you had a friend who needed a tutor so I decided she could help your friend.” she introduced you 

The girl turns to him, “I’m y/n, i look forward to working with you, um.. well, your friend” 

Harin shook her hand, “I’m Harin, it’s nice to meet you”

His mom left after finishing her coffee, leaving the two of you to talk. “Why do those words sound so familar?” Harin tapped his temple

“Pardon?” the girl asked him 

“Oh? Nothing, sorry.” he said mentally cursing himself for thinking out loud again

“That’s a lie” a small smile on her lips

His eyes widened, “you can tell i’m lying?” 

She nodded. Neither of them had to say it but both of them knew that they were each other’s soulmate. Now that both of you know, you both start to talk, not small talk, but friendly talk. A sort of way to get to know each other. Harin made mental note to thank his mom for introducing him to his soulmate even if she didn’t know. 

Kanghyun: Every night you dream of the place where you meet your soulmate until you meet them 

The same store. The same books. The same dream. He dreamt this dream countless times. Why couldn’t he meet your soulmate already?

He walked to the bookstore down the street. He could recognize it a mile away, the one from his dreams. The one he’ll meet his soulmate at. 

The same rountine he wished would be over already. He spent all of his free time at the bookstore. At least he wouldn’t be bored while waiting. He’s read most if not all of the books there. 

The next morning, as he was walking to the bookstore, he saw someone looking around, looking lost. They saw him and walked up to him. “Hi, i’m Y/n. I just moved to this neighborhood and do you know where [bookstore name] is?” 

He nodded, “My name is Hyungu. I’m headed there now, let’s go togther” he started walking and watched as she followed him. 

“so...what brought you to move here?” he asked quietly 

“oh, the whole soulmate thing. I kept seeing the bookstore in my dreams and decided to move here if i was to meet my soulmate” she answered 

He made some small talk, well she mostly did the talking but they arrived soon. They both went their seperate ways. 

That night he didn’t dream of the bookstore. Could it be, that girl was his soulmate? Why didn’t it occur to him? He almost ran to the bookstore the next morning, he bumped into her on his way in. Her face gave away that she made the same discovery. 

Dongmyeong: You can only see in black and white but when you meet your soulmate, you can see in color

“What do colors look like?” It’s something he wondered for as long as he could remember. 

His friend who recently found his soulmate tried to describe the colors for him. It was no use, he just had to wait until he found his soulmate. 

The bus just left as he arrived at the bus stop. It was the last stop for the day and now he’d have to walk home. He felt something wet on his head and looked up at the sky, it was raining. Great. Just great.

As he rummaged through his bag to look for an umbrella, someone approached him and put the umbrealla over his head. He looked up at the girl and suddenly he could see color. He looked at the bright colored markers in his brown bag. 

“I’m y/n” the girl smiled at him 

“i can see color now” he was in shock

“i know, me too” she laughed 

“oh sorry. I’m Dongmyeong. Thanks for this by the way” he pointed upwards at the umbrella that is over the both of your heads

Dongmyeong didn’t know that he’d be meeting his soulmate by missing the bus in the rain. He was overjoyed and couldn’t wait to get to know you better. You were his sunshine. Just like the sun, you brought light (and color) to his life. 

CyA: You can talk to your soulmate through telepathy  

‘What are you doing?’ he tried talking to his soulmate. You’ve been talking for a while now. He knew that his soulmate was named ‘y/n‘ and he’d been on the lookout for any y/n’s but so far no luck. 

‘I’m on the bus, what about you‘ he heard his soulmate

‘i’m just playing the bass‘ he answered 

‘We should meet up if you’re in Seoul’ he heard, his heart was thumping

Could he be meeting up his soulmate, ‘I am in Seoul, let’s meet up at [adress] today at 4 p.m. if that’s good with you?’ he had an hour to be presentable

‘see you then‘ with that reply, he got out of his chair and started getting ready, he arrived early and looked around when he heard the voice in his head, ‘i’m here‘

Giuk glanced at the entrance and saw a girl standing there, looking around. He walked over and waved her over. 

“I’m Giuk” he said shyly

“I know, and i guess you know that i’m y/n” She smiled at him

He recognized your familar voice, the one he often longed to hear. The voice that brought him comfort. He couldn’t believe he finally found his soulmate.

Yonghoon:

“WHAT?!” Yonghoon’s mouth fell open. He saw you watching ONEUS content and him being his usual self, he asked you who you like more. When you said ONEUS without any hesitation, he was beyond shook. 

“it was your question. didn’t you want an honest answer?” you shrugged before going back to the video. He sat there, his eyes wide. 

“i’m still your favorite out of all 11 of us, right?” he pouted 

“hmm, i don’t know, Youngjo’s been at the top for some while now” you teased 

He pouted more and sulked while you continued watching the video. Everytime you laughed, he sighed loudly, making sure that you hear him. 

After noticing that you weren’t going to pay attention, he decided to watch along with you and now he was the one who laughing harder and more often. 

“Well i guess it’s okay if you like ONEUS more than ONEWE but you can’t like them more than me” he wagged his finger at you

“of course, you’re my boyfriend so you’re number 1 to me!” 

Harin: 

 You opened the door to the room where Harin and Geonhak were working out together. 

Their heads turned to the sound of the door being opened and Harin smiled once he saw you. He quickly introduced you to each other. 

“Nice to meet you,” you said shyly, staring at the floor. You both made small talk to for a while before Geonhak had to go. 

Harin noticed your behavior, “you never acted like this when i introduced you to my friends before. Are you intimidated by him?” 

You shook your head, “i’m a fan”

“Aren’t you a fan of ONEWE too? You didn’t act like this when I introduced you to them” he narrowed his eyes

“Well that’s because I like ONEUS more” you pat his head

“is it because they dance? look i can dance too” Harin started doing his famous dance, “do you like me more now?” he joked 

Kanghyun:

Hyungu walked into the living room and saw you sitting on the floor, surrounded by a big box. As he came closer, they were albums, more specifically, DEVIL albums. 

“Why do you have so many?” he pointed to the 25 albums stacked on top of each other. 

You jumped in surprise, “how long have you been standing there? Nevermind, it’s because i’m trying to get into the fansign and get all the photocards. I’m going to sell the albums i don’t need anyways” you explained 

“Why are you trying to get into the fansign when you can meet them anytime if you go to the company” he asked 

“just because~ they’re my ult group.... oh, i got a Dongju photocard!” you said, showing him 

“i have his phtocards too” Hyungu pulled out his wallet, showing you his photocards

“YOU HAVE A LIVED DONGJU PHOTOCARD?!” you took it from him, “can i keep it, please?” you pleaded 

“but you said you like ONEUS better” he teased 

“please, i tried so hard but i couldn’t get this photocard” you tried doing puppy eyes. “i do like them better, but i might like you better if you let me have the photcard” you blinked your eyelashes at him 

“you can have it, i have another one anyways” he gave you the photocard and you jumped up in victory

“do you like me more now?” he asked

“now i have all eras Dongju” you ignored his question, and stared at the photocard in his hand

“i should tell Dongju about this”  he mumbled before laughing at your victory dance  

Dongmyeong:

When you walked past him, he ran after you. “Did you not see me?” he waved his hand in front of your face. 

You swatted his hand away, “i did see you, but i’m not here for you today”

He looked confused, “if not me...then who?” 

Hwanwoong and Dongju bumped into you while Dongmyeong was interrogating you.  

“You must be y/n, nice to meet you!” Hwanwoong and Dongju both greeted you as you smiled politely, staring at their faces

Dongmyeong’s eyes grew wide with realization, “THEM?”

Hwanwoong and Dongju looked lost, they glanced behind them but Dongmyeong was pointing AT them and not behind.

Dongju and Hwanwoong both get called for their lessons and they leave first. 

Dongmyeong is still processing the information when you speak now, “i like ONEUS, i’m a ToMoon, i’ve been a ToMoon since pre-debut” 

He decided to be cheeky and ask, “you like them, but not more than me?” 

You stick your tounge out at him, “maybe i like them more~” before running through the halls of the building, him chasing not far behind. 

CyA: 

You were hanging out with Giuk in his studio when the door opened and Seoho walked in. 

“ah, hyung, thank you for helping me” Giuk stood up and went to go set up his recording equipment. 

Seoho saw you and greeted you politely, “i’m here because Giuk asked me if i’ll help him record a soundcloud song” he explained 

You nodded, unable to talk because THE Lee Seoho was in front of you. 

While Seoho was recording, Giuk went over to you, “are you okay?” he asked 

You shook your head, listening to Seoho sing, “my ult bias from my ult group is in front of me right now, singing” 

Seoho finished up and stayed for a while to moniter his singing and left after Giuk thanked him again for helping him. 

After he left, Giuk turned to you, “should i ask all of them to help out next time? so you can meet your favorite group?” 

“wahhh, i meet Seoho” you put a hand over your heart

“i can’t help but feel a little jealous. you’re doing this right in front of your boyfriend” he pouted 

“he may be in my favorite group, but you’re still my favorite person” you assured him

Little Problems

A/N: I'm so sorry for going ia suddenly but enjoy!

Harin was holding you close to his body, spooning while you snoozed away. It was still early and he was waiting for you to wake up. You stirred around in your sleep, and your eyes opened.

"Good morning" you say, getting out of bed. Harin held you tightly, not letting you leave. "harin, i need to go make breakfast, y/s/n will be up soon"

"no.." he mumbled in your shoulder, "i have a little problem that i need your help with"

"what?" you say, he doesn't answer instead pressed his boner against you.

you turn around to face him, your fingers ghosting over his hard-on. "you never learn, don't you? we have a kid now, we can't just do this any time where he could walk in, remember last time?" you say recalling the memory of your son walking in on you two, thankfully he was too tired to see anything and too young to remember as well.

Harin thrusts up into your hand lightly, groaning softly. You hear the light footsteps of your son running towards your room. His small head peaks into the room and he crawls into you bed, seperating you and harin from each other.

"good morning" he said, cuddling into your arms. you kiss the top of his head, "now we have another little problem" harin grumbled under his breath

Your son looked in his direction, waiting for Harin to repeat himself. "good morning bud, i have to go take a cold shower" he said as he slipped away into the bathroom
