Harley didn't care whether or not the party would earn them a gold medal. He was having a great time chatting with a certain sim he had his eye on.

"I really liked talking to you the other day. I'm glad we get to hang out again," he told her.

"Me too," Niki replied. "I can't believe you guys have a radio too!. We're way too broke to have any electronics, let alone a solar panel!"

"Your luck will turn around soon enough," Harley smiled encouragingly, aware of their financial struggles. "What kind of music do you like?"

As the evening went on and the two got to know each other better, they also got a lot cozier. By the time the party drew to a close, Harley wasn't the only one feeling flirty.

That was as far as it went though. He was really interested in pursuing something with Nikisha, but he didn't want to move too quickly either, especially not when she still hadn't found her footing in this new save file.

"Hey, I know we only have a few hours left before the end of our turn, but do you guys wanna throw another party?" Gabi asked around dinner time.

They were all pretty bored, especially with the rainstorm outside, so a party did seem like a lot of fun.

If they could manage to get another gold medal, it'd be a bonus!

"Sure, that sounds fun," Harley agreed.

"Don't worry Jack, I'll make sure to invite Octavia over," Gabi winked playfully.

Jack didn't say anything.

Iggy and Harley were also hanging out on the porch, giving Floyd and Gabi some privacy.

"How do you think it's going?" Harley asked with a playful grin.

"Oh, I'm sure they're all over each other," Iggy chuckled.

"What are the odds we're gonna have a wedding next year?" Harley asked.

"Uh... I don't know? That might be a bit fast, but I'm not them," Iggy shrugged. "I'd have to weigh all the pros and cons... a million times."

Harley raised an eyebrow, clearly messing with poor, awkward Iggy at that point. "Yeah? You wouldn't just marry the first CAS Point sim we earned if they had chemistry with you?"

"No, definitely not," Iggy replied.

Niki noticed Harley in the distance and immediately jogged over to greet him.

"We just saw each other at Gabi's dinner party! Do you really miss me that much already?" she asked with a flirty smile.

"Why else would I come all this way to walk Rain?" Harley replied without skipping a beat.

Niki was flattered. "Well, you don't need any excuses to see me. I love spending time with you."

"I'll keep that in mind," Harley grinned.

"I think it's gonna rain again soon," Niki looked up at the dark gray sky. "What a summer we've had... it's been nasty weather almost every day!"

"Yeah, I should hurry and get back to the mainland," Harley sighed.

"I'll call you sometime during the round, we can make plans to hang out," Niki assured him.

Meanwhile, Rain was shipping it hard. (Definitely not just in heat...)

"So, what are your plans for our last day of the rotation?" Harley asked Gabi as he finished washing his dishes from breakfast.

Gabi shrugged and took a bite of her fruit salad. "I might hang out with Floyd a bit," she said simply.

"You two are getting pretty serious, huh?" Harley wondered.

Gabi looked surprised.

"Oh come on," Harley laughed. "We all know about it. You're not fooling anyone."

"Then... yeah," Gabi ducked her head to hide her blush. "I didn't think I'd find someone so soon, especially not someone I could see myself spending the rest of my life with."

Harley raised an eyebrow and let out an impressed whistle. "So it really is that serious," he said.

Floyd came back from a stroll with plenty to sell as well as some fresh fruits he found in trees growing around the neighborhood. They were able to make a decent fruit salad out of it, probably the best meal they'd had all day!

"Have any one of you talked to Gabi recently?" Harley asked the other men.

"No? Why?" Floyd asked, looking concerned.

"She brought up an interesting idea earlier. We could help pay off the Simoleon Camp's debt since they're way behind. I wanted to run it by you two and Jack before committing to anything. Would you be open to give maybe..." he looked at their household funds. "500 or 600 simoleons to help them?"

"Yeah! Of course!" Floyd grinned.

"Sure, do whatever you want with the simoleons, I don't give a llamapoop," Jack shrugged.

"I'm down. I have a whirlyflower frog in my inventory. We can breed it a few times and get our simoleons right back in no time," Iggy added as he started with the dishes. "Plus I found a camera and some upgrade parts in the ocean earlier. I could sell those too. We'll be just fine. We're by far the richest household so far and we've got the best house."

"Hey Harl—oh, did you get a new planter box? It looks really nice!" Gabi said with a grin, walking into the house to find their resident gardener watering his grapes.

"Yeah, I figured we could use another source of food," Harley explained.

"How much did it cost?" Gabi asked with a chuckle.

"Why? We're not exactly running low on simoleons," Harley replied curiously, glancing down at their household funds. They had almost 700 still.

"I'm kidding," Gabi smiled. "David — the blond guy from the Bed & Breakfast — came by. He wanted an update, and the conversation turned to simoleons. He suggested we help pay off the Simoleon Camp's debt. What do you think?"

"We could certainly do that! I can run a yard sale tomorrow morning. We don't have much food to spare, but I do have some frogs in my inventory we could sell... and maybe, if you want, some of your photos?"

"Yeah? You think they'd sell?" Gabi smiled.

"Of course! You're getting really good. Some of them are outstanding — at a markup they could be worth 40 or 50 simoleons each if we're lucky!" Harley complimented her, causing Gabi's smile to widen even more.

Food was still a huge issue for the farm. He'd used up all of the mushrooms he harvested last spring and didn't have anything else edible.

For now they were entirely reliant on Iggy and Jack's fish... and considering they needed two for a single meal, it wasn't exactly sustainable.

Harley did a lot of thinking and came to the conclusion that perhaps a vertical planter box indoors would be a good idea. They could have certain plants growing year-round instead of relying entirely on the seasons.

He started with a simple grape seed to see if it'd take. Maybe he'd try basil or parsley next. Having herbs on hand for cooking would be great!
