Niki was out on a lovely stroll when she noticed somebody a little ahead of her.
She was going to ignore them, especially when she realized who it was, but unfortunately he noticed her as well.
"Hey," he said.
"Hi, we haven't met yet, I'm Niki," she replied, definitely on her guard. She'd heard a few things about him, notably his mean trait.
"I'm Jack," he introduced himself, and although it was faint, perhaps even forced, Niki was pretty sure she saw a smile.
A smile!
She wasn't about to ignore everyone else's opinions about this Sim, but from what she could tell... he didn't seem so terrible.
"You know, I heard from more than one Sim that you were a bit of a... plumbob," she told him frankly.
Jack laughed. "Yeah, well, they aren't wrong. You caught me with a lot of happy moodlets."
"Hey, I know we only have a few hours left before the end of our turn, but do you guys wanna throw another party?" Gabi asked around dinner time.
They were all pretty bored, especially with the rainstorm outside, so a party did seem like a lot of fun.
If they could manage to get another gold medal, it'd be a bonus!
"Sure, that sounds fun," Harley agreed.
"Don't worry Jack, I'll make sure to invite Octavia over," Gabi winked playfully.
Jack didn't say anything.
While Gabi and Floyd were having their date in the kitchen, mostly just spamming social interactions, Jack was outside on the front porch working on teaching Rain to roll over.
"Good girl!" he grinned when she finally managed to catch on.
She was definitely a smart pup!
Jack's better idea had something to do with a pee bush and heart-shaped fireworks.
Talking was overrated.
Jack hung around the house after dinner, wondering if she was going to even show up. It wouldn't matter if she didn't, Jack didn't care that much, but it'd be nice if she did...
He was about to give up and head to bed when he heard a knock at the door. As he went to greet Octavia, he hoped the flirty moodlets weren't showing too much.
"Hey," he said.
"Do you wanna exchange some small talk or should we just get down to the good stuff?" she asked with a big, goofy smile.
Jack took her hand and pulled her down on the red seat. "We should at least try to get a friendship bar going."
"Watcher, I thought you were supposed to be mean," Octavia rolled her eyes. "But fine. I guess I could work on my comedy skill. You wanna hear a llama joke?"
"I have a better idea," Jack told her before kissing her.
Floyd came back from a stroll with plenty to sell as well as some fresh fruits he found in trees growing around the neighborhood. They were able to make a decent fruit salad out of it, probably the best meal they'd had all day!
"Have any one of you talked to Gabi recently?" Harley asked the other men.
"No? Why?" Floyd asked, looking concerned.
"She brought up an interesting idea earlier. We could help pay off the Simoleon Camp's debt since they're way behind. I wanted to run it by you two and Jack before committing to anything. Would you be open to give maybe..." he looked at their household funds. "500 or 600 simoleons to help them?"
"Yeah! Of course!" Floyd grinned.
"Sure, do whatever you want with the simoleons, I don't give a llamapoop," Jack shrugged.
"I'm down. I have a whirlyflower frog in my inventory. We can breed it a few times and get our simoleons right back in no time," Iggy added as he started with the dishes. "Plus I found a camera and some upgrade parts in the ocean earlier. I could sell those too. We'll be just fine. We're by far the richest household so far and we've got the best house."
Jack ran into someone on the beach and hazy memories came crawling back. They got juiced together during Gabi's keg party and he was pretty sure he agreed to be her woohoo buddy.
"Hey Grumps!" the blonde called out, waving him over. "I was wondering when you'd come around and claim your prize," she smirked.
Jack couldn't help but look at her as she stretched out her arms, showing off her hot weather outfit... among other things.
She was... a lot.
"So? What do you say?" she went on. "Should I come over to yours later tonight? I know you've got a perfectly good woohoo bush behind your chicken coop."
Jack chuckled. "Alright. Why the woohoo not?"
