oh okay so this is so cute because you and cal have both been on tour all summer with your respective bands. and the two of you had been dating for like a year now so it was serious at this point and you were both missing each other especially hard now that you had to be apart for your tours. it had been months now and neither of you even knew what city you were in at the moment and it was so hard to find times that worked for both of you. sure you had the fleeting facetime calls, but it just wasn’t hitting the spot. it wasn’t the same as hearing his voice in person and getting to touch him and just spend more than a few minutes to an hour with each other. calum knew how hard this has been on you because he was feeling the exact same thing. he knew that you were playing a show tomorrow in a city near a venue 5sos was playing the following day and for about a week now he had been begging management and the tour crew to let him get to the venue a day early so he could see you, he even had a whole plan mapped out where he would leave as soon as he finished his latest show so that he could make it to the next city in time for your show. he finally gave up and rented a car with the plan to sneak out after they finished playing. with the help of michael stalling he executed his plan perfectly and was in route to see you the following night. he hadn’t told you because he wanted to see the look of surprise on your sweet face when you saw him. he would want to be a dramatic little shit and make sure he got a spot right in the front row where you’d be looking. even with the crowd screaming and the lights in your eyes you saw him immediately and your heart soared in the best way possible watching your sweet boy beam up at you as the opening notes were played. the entire show would be stolen looks between each other as you struggled to pay attention to your set. during the encore cal would sneak back stage to meet you as soon as you got off so you could run into his strong arms. as the two of you are hugging and kissing backstage you remember that the distance and waiting is worth it as long as you always get to come home to calum
