1. Who is a celebrity you detest?

Jennifer Lawrence. 2. What brand has earned your loyalty?

Aveeno because their unscented stuff is actually unscented and it’s the only brand that doesn’t make me break out in hives (I cried when they discontinued their sensitive skin shaving cream. My legs have not been the same since). 3. What is your favorite quote?

This isn’t exactly a quote, it’s more like a paragraph, but Nina’s entire verse in When You’re Home from In the Heights reallllly gets to me and everyone should listen to it right now (it starts at 3:25). 4. What is the worst super power?

Invisibility. If you’re a superhero you have to be at least moderately skilled at sneaking around so I feel like invisibility is pretty useless. And you usually have to be naked and. No thanks. 5. Which magazine is your blog most like: Tiger Beat, The New Yorker, Vogue?

If The New Yorker was written by Tiger Beat people, that would be my blog.

Milk Chocolate for sure. Dark chocolate is too bitter for me, unless I’m eating a york. 7. What’s the story behind your tumblr name?

This one is because I love LOTR, particularly the people of Rohan and rohirrim and rohirrims were already taken, so I added the extra r and voila (I’ll be changing it to thewingedwolf when game of thrones comes back because Bran is my favorite).

For thedayseemsclearer, it’s a line from my favorite musical In the Heights. This character Nina dropped out of college and she’s a first generation Puerto Rican and she’s the first to go to college in her whole neighborhood and she’s feeling very depressed. This other character Benny, who has been in love with her for years, notices she’s upset but she won’t say why and he’s trying to make her feel better. They sing this cute song called “When You’re Home” and one of the lines goes “And can’t you see that the day seems clearer/now that you are here/or is it me?/maybe it’s just me…” and that line always hurt my hurt with how cute it is so I made it my tumblr name. 8. What is something that you have made that you are super proud of?

I wrote a poem called “A History of the Ever Elusive White Beetle” and I am very proud of that. My teacher told me it was very impressive.

If we’re talking made in the literal sense, I painted this raccoon/kitty wearing a mask that I think is really cute. 9. What’s the title of a book you disliked so much you didn’t even finish reading it?

The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima is one that is recent. The one I remember hating the most though is Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver.

10. Are you like your star sign? Generally yes although I don't think I'm as humble or modest as most virgos are supposed to be. I'm kind of an asshole about stuff I'm proud of tbh.

11. What is you air freshener of choice: candles, plug ins, incense, scentsy, etc?

I loooove candles.

my seventh grade math teacher was a bigoted piece of shit (i never picked up on any racism but he's the vp of the school my aunt works at and she's sort of suspicious about the way he's been treating one of the latina teachers at the school so).

4. Now tell me about the best teacher you have ever had.

ummmmmmm this is hard. Ms. Tiess probably because she was not only a very good teacher (she was so good at explaining stuff in a way that was easy to understand without sounding like she was talking down to us) but was also very watchful of her students, like, there was this dude who had been bothering me for a long time (flirting in a gross way, putting his hands on me after I had said no) and none of the teachers noticed but she noticed right away and got him to stop.

also mr. rosano. he wasn't like a fantastic teacher but he was very protective of his students. when he noticed i was having trouble with my math teacher (the hated one) he tried to get the office to switch my advisory to his instead of the other teacher and when I got a PE teacher who was awful and was always trying to get me to do stuff I wasn't comfortable with doing, mr. rosano would stick up for me and bug her until she let me sit out or do something easier on my knee. and he did the same for other students and idk he was just a really nice guy.

Idk if this counts as a weird fact but I remember that there is a legitimate law on book that says that in Chicago you are not allowed to fish while standing on a giraffe's neck.

9. If you could rename yourself what would you change it to?

10.  Can you keep a Cactus alive? (i honestly could not)

So far no but in my defense I was like ten and we had been having a really bad drought so I figured it would be safe if I left it outside (but the universe hates me and it poured rain that night and my cactus died).
