Nice to spot a bit of biodiversity on a patch of disused land in Harrowby, which has long been used as an unofficial dump. “Glory of the snow” - Scilla forbesii is actually native to west Turkey but the common blue form seeds freely in many English gardens. Took a morning walk to the strange sound of seagulls today. We’re about an hour or so from the coast in the car so it felt a little odd but welcome. Amazing sunset tonight walking the dogs. This radio tower just outside Grantham, is the main landmark we can see from our house. Some may think it’s an eyesore in the countryside but we’ve grown to love it and it’s amazing to hear flocks of birds singing away up there sometimes. It’s been a tricky day having no laptop but thanks to awesome @beernativetv, I now have a very decent work around. One of the pathways along the field at the back of Alma Woods has been overtaken by Queen Anne’s lace or cow parsley or wild carrot or some such. It’s taller than me which gave great covering to watch the hawks lark around in the nearby trees.
