🔵 Here’s a little BLUESDAY inspiration from our American art collection, currently on view in Infinite Blue.
In this studio portrait by Harry C. Edwards, blue beadwork and pigment are found throughout the model Handsome Morning’s traditional Dakota outfit, which consisted of a fringed dress with beaded yoke, a tubular bone-bead necklace, beaded moccasins, and a buffalo hide robe painted with a box-and-border design. Edwards’s detailed description of her dress and accessories, along with the use of her name in the title of this painting, suggests his interest in asserting Handsome Morning’s authenticity to his audience.

Soldier Man 1926 Harry Langdon and the Great War, in a film that anticipates the opening sequences of the Laurel and Hardy classic "Block-Heads" (1938): the soldier does not realize that there was the armistice and continues to fight - against a scarecrow and against nothing, not militaristic enthusiasm but to mental laziness.

La curva da lì appare molto larga e quindi, pensa, la dovrà tagliare in maniera decisa. Torna a controllare i blocchi, la distanza tra le placche, fa qualche saltello e solo a quel punto sente di nuovo la voce.
Harry Edwards (October 11, 1887 - May 26, 1952) was a Canadian-born American film director and actor. He worked in films from the 1910s to the 1950s.
