It has been 10 years since Draco Malfoy stepped foot in London. In truth, he would have been happy to never be here again. But when your best friend since birth decides to get married and wants you by his side it isn't as if you can refuse. No matter who you might run into. Get in, get out, and never look back. He's sure he'll be fine.

Harry Potter has always been good about locking away feelings he couldn't deal with. As long as he didn't have to face them he could very easily pretend they never happened. So how was he going to handle seeing a man he had once thought could be his everything for the first time in a decade. Spoiler alert, it does not go the way he planned.

Featuring exs who aren't as sneaky as they think they are, men who don't know how to talk about their feelings, meddling friends who truly have the best intentions at heart, and a whole lot of thirsty Drarry in fancy clothes.

This was my very first Big Bang, and I’m overjoyed to share the incredible fic that bbd wrote and that I was so lucky to do art for! This fic is chock full of incredible food descriptions (seriously, I was drooling) (and was inspired to do some baking of my own), deep emotional conversations, and Draco bullying Harry into investing in home decor (fucking same). My heart lives in this fic, and I’m so excited that you all get to read and love it just as much as I do!

We are excited to announce this year we will be running a HARRY/DRACO REVERSE BIG BANG!!!

When we decided to create the Harry/Draco Big Bang in 2018, our intention was not to run the fest in consecutive years, in order to give authors, readers, and mods a chance to recuperate after the intensity of such an enormous challenge. However, your loyal mods have been toying around with running a slightly different kind of bang, and have decided 2022 is our year!

We wanted to create a fest with a similar energy to our big bang, but with a lower word count commitment–only 5,000 words! The flipped format of creating the art before the fic will also give our stunning Drarry artists a chance to really influence what kinds of fics our talented writers produce!

Your mods, @gracerene and @writcraft, are delighted to welcome you back for another year of banging! We’re super excited about this challenge and we hope you are too! Please check out the rules and timeline below to get a sense for what’s involved and do consider joining us on 1 March 2022!

Draco followed a second later, picking up most of the same flowers as Harry. Then they stood side by side behind the counter and began to make up their arrangements.

Once they’d finished, they set up a table in front of one of the bare walls of the shop, setting their vases next to each other on top.

“Maybe we can do a giveaway?” Harry suggested, turning to Draco as they stood admiring the arrangements.

“What do you mean?” Draco asked, turning to look at Harry curiously.

Draco smiled and leant over, kissing Harry once more, one hand resting on his cheek as he did so. “Sounds good.”

Harry pressed his forehead against Draco’s as they parted. “I love you.”

“I love you too,” Draco replied.

Draco thought he could avoid Potter for the duration of his brief return to England. He’d stick to his schedule and be back home in Paris, where he belonged, in a few short months. No trouble at all. He had plenty to occupy him, what with the opening of the London branch of his successful apothecary, his innovative research, drinks with Pansy, a backlog of unread potions periodicals.

Except Head Auror Potter is everywhere — in Draco's chair, at his door, in his dreams. All six feet of motorbike-riding, combat-boot-wearing, sex-hair-sporting Saviour of the World packed into one unfairly fetching uniform. Potter won’t leave Draco the bloody hell alone, won’t let him breathe, let him forget, let him sleep.

Because no matter how fast Draco Malfoy runs, Harry Potter is always hot on his heels.

My first Drarry fic is finally seeing the light of day! This beast has undergone THREE complete rewrites, hundreds of thousands of words thrown into the trash, only to be redrafted, recrafted, and expanded by about 70k. But we have arrived! And I'm really fucking proud of it.
