OC-TOBER DAY 15: REALITY

Erm... skipped a few days. I was busy lol. I’m working on catching up eventually so I’ll probably post all my missed days in a batch at the end of the month (if I get around to them all lol).

This piece carries on from Day 10′s piece: Dream. It depicts the same character later on in the story, after a lot of very important and scary things happen lmao. Feel free to ask any questions about the story, I kept things pretty vague because there’s a lot of context to explain.

The great Kingdom of Alida was always destined to fall. The nation hung high in the sky, suspended by a power long forgotten by those who inhabit it. On a secluded archipelago far far away, behind a storm that cannot be crossed, rests the secret of Alida’s rise into the sky.

Millenia ago, the great God of the Moons would give life to one of the last remaining Major Dragons in Efica: Wriryn, Guardian of the Moondom. She was borne of the world’s third moon, and her lifeforce would bring the kingdom closer to the lunar god they worshipped so dearly.

Nothing lasts forever, though. As the years went on, memory of Wriryn began to fade... as did her lifeforce. The kingdom would sink lower by the decade as the ancient dragon grew old and weary on her secluded island, kept company by only her creator and the Divine Protector. Not even Major Dragons live forever; it was only natural that one day, Alida would plummet to the ocean floor.

This would spell certain death for any population, but what the Alidans didn’t know was that their long-forgotten heritage would save them from their accursed fate.

I have so many freaking AU’s for my characters, so I got round to drawing one of BB’s AU forms, Ripsaw.

This is from a Hunter AU me and my partner have been developing, where everything is a big death battle dome/arena broadcast on TV. The “Hunters” being the top dogs/top ranks. 

BB’s design, I love, to absolute bits.

OC-TOBER DAY 9: ROLE REVERSAL

I was tempted to draw some of my fantasy OCs for this one but I just can’t keep my hands off my modern characters lol. I love them so much.

This is Dmitri’s husband Keyo (real name Kichirou) as a rock musician! I was gonna draw Dmitri as a Twitch streamer as well but I really need to fix my sleep schedule lmao. If you can’t tell I really like drawing sequins :P

OC-TOBER DAY 5: FAILURE

Went all out with this one today and somehow got it done faster than most of my other OC-tober drawings lmao. This is my first time doing an indoorsy background in absolutely ages so i’m happy with how it turned out!

After dropping out of university and moving to the UK, Dmitri’s mental health continued to spiral. He struggled with substance abuse, taking numerous drugs and drinking vast quantities of alcohol just to ‘keep himself sane’. It wasn’t uncommon for his roommate (Hanzou’s childhood friend Kichirou) to find him passed out on the sofa surrounded by empty cans and bottles. He felt like a failure. He couldn’t make it through university; he couldn’t make his relationships last; he couldn’t really do anything but make music... and that wasn’t taking him very far.

He began overworking himself, using music as a coping mechanism to deal with his regrets and his issues. When he eventually released his first studio album, ZHAR-PTITSA, he still felt like it wasn’t enough. He immediately began working on his next album and finished the first song within weeks. All he would ever do was work and Kichirou (who had recently become his boyfriend) became concerned for his health. 

At least it was better than drinking himself to death.
