its weird to see like a ton of fanart where hes super expressive like.. did we watch and/or read the same thing? all he is rly able to express is annoyance, anger, love (rarely). just very core emotions that arent as complicated as a humans emotions. only when god is near does he express regret, sadness, and more i guess multi-faceted emotions

yeah exactly. the most we get out of him is “smug” except times where his plans are directly threatened (e.g., miki knowing akira is devilman)

there are a lot of instances of him showing stronger, deeper, more complex emotions, but that is ONLY after God shows up
