guys mack was neverrrr winning the hart with the sharks out of the playoffs. call it a dumb rule, call it an arbitrary one (and i do), but the writers and reporters that vote for the hart have ALWAYS valued making the playoffs as a standard.

what we SHOULD be focusing on is mack’s ted lindsay nommy (truly an increddddd achievement and honor for a teenager!!). and the fact that with both macklin and dickie in switzerland for worlds. this is THE perfect opportunity for some willmisa hate sex, chateau de proxyfucking. with notes of infidelity (is it cheating if neither of you are technically in a relationship but also it kinda feels like you’re both married to other people? idk but will and mikey m are abt to find out)

So the Hart Trophy nominations are not a surprise, these are three players at the absolute top of their game. I do think there was a valid argument for Mack but it is what it is.

And I still think it's very cool that the players themselves nominated Mack for the Ted Lindsay.

I have no doubt Macklin will get that Hart Trophy soon.

i think its fair that they picked those three for the hart bc they honestly are the insane players and have been at the top of their game the entire season

however. i still think there were A LOT of reasons mack could’ve been nominated, especially since its a trophy given in relation to the value the player adds to the team which is something i think was especially relevant for mack this season

this said. its the media who pick for the hart. i find it so so so so admirable that mack was nominated by the players and he’s a ted lindsay finalist. i think it has a lot more weight in general even if it doesn’t seem so
