"How are you doing today, Mister Possum?"

Several pointy and distinct edges sunk into her back as she shifted her weight to sit upright, her gaze fixed on the little rodent frozen stiff–playing dead.

"Your abode smells like shit, I'm afraid." Hartz's eyes failed to focus on the garbage surrounding her, it seemed like there was two of everything.

For example, the crinkled cup of strawberry Freez-O that she had been drinking prior to falling down three stories, appeared to have undergone some form of asexual reproduction in order to duplicate itself in her hand.

"I really hope there's no used needles in here," her hand reached forward, gripping the edge of the dumpster tightly before pulling herself out with a loud sigh. "That would suck." She sat on the cold, rugged street of the alleyway for a good few minutes, basking in her fresh coat of new 'aroma'. She only stopped because she heard something.

Now, sounds in the deep bowels of Atreno City and all the other garbage residential areas are common, very common. Infact, it would be uncommon to hear nothing at all. Sounds such as police car horns blaring, or dogs barking at ungodly hours or the depths of your own despair for failing in life; there's a sound for it. Always.

But this sound was different.

Hartz hid behind the dumpster, peering at the shadow of the mass emitting it out of the corner of her eye. It was severely hairy, with spiky long locks that curled into a serpentine tail. The lizard-like head had horns, and it was on all four of its limbs. Not only that but it made a low hissing sound.

Hartz stiffened upon hearing the thing sniff for something. Hartz was even more startled to hear a voice right after that.

"Doc..I think there's someone following us." The voice was undoubtably feminine, with a roughness to it, the kind you'd see in a rebellious teenager.

But who was talking? The lizard, or someone else? Hartz hadn't had a clue. Her confusion deepened upon hearing a nasally tongue with the visible edge of a superioty complex sewn into it. "Is that so? Get on with it then. Finish it off quick, I've got things to do within the labratory." The man speaking seemed incredibly impatient.

"Oh, come on Flug! I dealt with the Client, the job and Black hat today," The feminine voice implored, sounding awfully whiny. This definitely struck a chord within the man. "First of all, you lizard brained freak, you punched Dark Phantom-the CLIENT in the face, surplexed Vanity so hard I now have to dig him out with a shovel–we're wasting time because of it, and then you tried to embrace our dark lord Black Hat with your filthy hands!"

Hartz couldn't help but listen in to the bickering, but realised they were only getting closer to her hiding spot with each jab at eachother. Atleast she knew the weird lizard thing could talk.

"YOU'RE CALLING ME FILTHY? YOU WEAR THE SAME SHIRT EVERYDAY!" the lizard screeched. "I am fairly certain that I DO NOT. It's different sets of the same design!" The man implored, comparitively quieter than the reptilian, but definitely upset. The lizard blew rasberries at his retort, continuing her insults before being interrupted by a short snicker.

"THAT'S LOSER BEHAVIOUR—...What was that?!" The diverging yellow eyes of the creature narrowed in towards where Hartz sat, curled into a ball.

"..shit." As she got up to make a run for it, the ground fell away, no, it melted, it vapourised? It was dark and a very new sensation for Hartz. The borders of the dark formation were rowed with teeth and closed in on the group of three at once.

Getting spit back out was not a new sensation, but it was definitely a surreal one. The surroundings were dark, red and had inumerable references to black top hats. From the wall paper to the carpet, to the shoulder of the girl. 'Wait, what?' The lizard creature was human! Or..humanoid. She was simply on all fours. Odd. Shouldn't people address it? It's an awfully weird thing to do.

Hartz only realisezed that the elephant in this gothic office space, was her.

"Public Transport is nice when you're running low on funds. It was a good day today. The cats enjoyed the bus ride.

The bus falling off the bridge we crossed after was not favourable. The tornado villain miss heed defeated recently got to us first. Its unnerving to see how nice she is now. How can someone that violent be kind?"

I personally think her look is the most iconic part about her- that wonderful shade of pink!!

but I don't understand how. Practical her outfit is?? I know it's pretty, VERY cute too! But it doesn't seem safe?? THE BRACELETS COULD SHATTER UPON IMPACT IN COMBAT TOO??

I mean I know that spandex isn't the most reliable armor either but other heroes seem to have some form of special ability, no??

And for someone to claim her super power is love, what does that MEAN??

How did she beat coyote?! HOW?? HE PUNCHED ME THROUGH A WALL WHEN I VISITED RUTHERFORD SPRINGS WHEN VOLUNTEERING!!

Marmalade was the first cat I got, ain't she the cutest? Corny came around later.

P.S. her name is marmalade because her eyes reminded me of it!!
