yk I came across a random post on tt of some goon ranting about how 'ugly' 'haruhime' is

and mind you I couldn't care less about her as imo she's completely irrelevant, yet that stupid rant has been bugging me all this time.

some mfs are haters for NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!100 how can you consider some random, let alone a faceless character... ugly? you can't judge an appearance without an appearance. there's not a single hint of ugliness portrayed in her. also disregarding the fact that she's faceless, her design isn't entirely bad let's bfr. it's simple--simple but unique kinda. and what's funny is her corny ass haters mainly consists of either misogynists or hardcore michikatsu gooners that despise seeing a few scattered kny fans that are interested in 'haruhime' interpret her the way they believe she could've been if she were to have more screen time. nothing wrong with giving her a face or personality--that way we can see how she might seem to be in others' perspectives which i personally find interesting considering we know nothing other than the fact that she's the reason muichiro exists.

and let's be realistic, tsugikuni women in general (akeno & uta) are gorgeous beings, surely 'haruhime' could've fit in that category too, no?

She's Kokushibo's wifey , Haruhime . Back then she was Michikatsu's wife or now we know as Kokushibo .

Many people said she was lucky to marry him but honestly I can't really say the same . Knowing Kokushibo left her to fend off for herself and his kids because he wanted power , least to say Kokushibo had the dream Yoriichi wanted which was a family .

The same time Yoriichi had that power Kokushibo wanted and Kokushibo had what Yoriichi dreamt off . To imagine for just being a background character , I do wish she will partake to be one of the animated in the anime .

Has anyone else noticed like, bizarre amounts of hate towards Haruhime/Kokushibo's wife in the fandom?

She's not even really a character, but every time I see a fan exploring her, especially her relationship to Kokushibo, or drawing/writing her, I see so many people get angry

So many defensive comments about how those fans are "delusional" and how Kokushibo hated her and how she's just some rando.

Like. . .okay? If she's just some rando, why do you care so much that fans are characterizing and exploring her?

So much weird hate for a character who showed up in three panels with no face or dialogue 💀

Just leave people be and let them explore a little side character they like, who cares? Most of the popular Kokushibo ships also have very little to no interaction (KokuNaki and KokuZan, which are my favorite by the way), but you really don't see people throw a bitch fit over that.

Okay? People ship characters who hate each other, characters who kill each other, characters from entirely different Fandoms, but a divorced ship is too much? I don't think I've ever seen a Haruhime fan or KokuHaru fan debate the fact they divorced. If anything, that seems to be what intrigues a lot of people about the character and ship, the circumstances around their relationship and how both characters moved on post-breakup

But this idea that he hated her is unfounded. They have very few interactions, but all we see in canon is Kokushibo being kind to her and later expressing some regret over abandoning her. You don't have to ship it, but insinuating that Kokushibo hated her guts canonically is unfounded.

Either way, just let people have fun and explore a side character. If you don't like it so much, keep scrolling instead of raining on someone else's parade.

Why does people actually (not ironically) ship Michikatsu and his wife??? Not saying in other au, bc it's not what I'm talking about, I'm talking like in CANON AU, like didn't he left her due to his own jealous ass??? (But honestly in modern au they would be divorced and it's more real scenario than living a happy life together) (Not saying you can't ship them in any other au except canon au)
